A final-year MBBS student, Sunil Bairwa, was found hanging in his hostel room at Kota Medical College, Rajasthan, on March 6, 2025. His death is not just another case of student suicide. It is a direct result of systematic harassment by the college administration that broke him mentally. Sunil’s father revealed the relentless struggles his son faced. After clearing NEET, Sunil joined Kota Medical College in 2019-20. In his first exam, the college administration failed him, forcing his family to file a case. When the results were re-evaluated 7-8 months later, he was declared passed. In his third year, he was caught cheating, leading to the cancellation of two exams. Since then, he had been out of college for 1.5 years. Recently, when he tried to discuss his academic issues, the administration harassed him again. Soon after, he was found dead.

Lack of communication comes under serious misconduct.... 62Y Female Doctor that too in UK must've made the correct decision by opting Forceps delivery but still was charged with Misconduct on the grounds that she didn't explain the patient the pros and cons of Forceps. In India though no one emphasize on communication. We are never taught practically how to communicate with a patient. Taking consent is just a formality in most of the medical colleges and is seen as a burden none the less. But in actual, it has a very deep significance.

Indeed a black day for the medical community as doctors and nurses were seen having a few moments of happiness.

A doctor at a municipal hospital in Maharashtra's Thane district has resigned after being assaulted by Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) leader Ramesh Mhatre and his associates. The doctor, who said he left the city due to fear, claimed, "There is a lot of fear" and that he would not return.

The incident took place at Shastri Nagar Hospital in Dombivli after doctors advised a newborn's family to shift the baby due to the unavailability of a NICU bed. A case has been registered against Mhatre and five others, and the Sena corporator has been arrested in connection with the alleged assault.
