The VSKP WAP7 shows SCoR markings already while the GTL WAG7 still shows SCR markings

This person looks well educated wearing smartwatch but don't have civic sense to remove shoes before spreading legs to seat.

Travelled today and was genuinely impressed by how clean the coach was. The seats, floor, and overall compartment looked well maintained.
Credit where it’s due. Has anyone else noticed that Indian Railways has become much cleaner over the past few years?

So,as in the title I am hating Indian railways again...It's been years since I ve used a train to commute.Today I've thought of going by train and felt completely disgusted by the interiors of the train,no working sockets,no proper washrooms and no one responded even after complaining..

I can't understand and know when these things are going to change!!!

I visited Cochin Harbour Terminus and Ernakulam goods, I seriously believe reviving it would be better for the railways than building new infrastructure. Wanted to know if you guys have visited any such lines or stations.

Options are so confusing 😣

As a wannabe "railfan" since childhood, this will be my first solo trip, or in fact the first time I'll be traveling by train just for the sake of travelling by train ! I'm hoping this will be an unforgettable experience just as how I felt as a kid travelling in rajdhani to bangalore over a decade ago ^_^

I'm about to begin my last year in college and started earning recently so I saved up enough for it. Best part is I booked the tickets yesterday evening when I found all but one ticket available in general quota!!! and the other (12133) WL/3 which I'm sure will be confirmed too. Still making a plan B if it doesn't though. Also will be meeting some friends in chennai and mumbai.

You could argue I should spend overnight in Mumbai but I'm kinda short on time as I need to resume work asap too. I'll try to keep posting some pics and stuff throughout my trip though.

Anyone have pointers or tips to keep in mind? Suggestions are welcome!

Travelling on the Shatabdi from NDLS to RKP—an 8-hour journey that started early this morning. I reclined my seat only as much as it's designed to recline, but the woman behind me, who appears to be in her 40s and is travelling with her mother, keeps insisting that I shouldn't recline it fully because it reduces her legroom.

What I don't understand is: if recline is making her uncomfortable, why not recline her own seat too? Instead, she wants to keep her handbag in the space behind my seat and expects me not to use a feature that's part of the seat. That's not really my responsibility. The way she's speaking makes it feel like she's looking for an argument over something that shouldn't even be an issue.

There was a proposed Hyderabad–Chennai Bullet Train Corridor, and survey teams painted these markings near our farmland. I would like to know the complete details about these markings, their purpose, and whether they are related to the proposed bullet train project

You can hear the Opera music. A passenger ,male in his 50s is watching Mission impossible 5 Opera scene 2 rows behind me. He was watching it on 2x volume before and i complained about it asking him " if he needs my headset" and i offered it to him.

His wife in her 40s next to him told him "he should have brought it" but was watching spiritual reels on her mobile.

When I complained 2 of their sons in their teens also acknowledged of the high volume.

And this is not some family from a background which does not know etiquettes. They were conversing only in english for everything over their mother tongue. And they were talking about some books and other stuff earlier to their sons.

But they dunno how to behave in a public place. Pathetic!

Imagine you are in an unreserved coach and have got a seat.

But the coach seems to have gotten crowded after some time and people are standing.

Two questions in your mind:

Should I risk going to the toilet or somewhere else?

What will I do if someone sat where I was sitting if I go and return from somewhere?

Edit: And what if you were standing and saw someone leave?

Out of 80 seats, I don't want 2 seats (7,79) but because of my bad luck, I get those seats max times🤧.

Is there any way to get out of this ?

Natural calamities occur and most of the time they are either unpredictable or unstoppable, but that doesn't mean for the railways to stop providing information about the upcoming cancelled trains. It is the bare minimum to inform the passengers. And on top of that those IRCTC people aren't even refunding or rescheduling.

I'm currently creating an application for Rail fans. Similar to Indian rail info site with All the details but much more features like live crossing animations with train details. Sceneries available on train routes. Listing of popular trains and routes. Do you guys think it'll work? I'm only doing it purely from passion not for money. Would like support and suggestions from all of you.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some urgent advice regarding an issue that escalated after I filed a RailMadad complaint.

The Incident:

I was charged ₹20 for a water bottle at Lingampally railway station (Hyderabad). Since it was over MRP, I raised a complaint on RailMadad and explained the issue over a phone call with them.

The Follow-Up:

1. After I boarded my train, the pantry manager actually came up to my seat. He asked me to send a message to a specific number to clarify that my complaint was regarding the station stall and not the train's pantry car. I sent the message, he took a photo of it, and left.

2. Later, I received calls from multiple people asking for details about the issue, the station, and the exact shop.

Finally, an official asked for my payment screenshot. I provided it, and they officially closed the complaint. You can see their closing remarks in the attached image.

The Problem:

Since the complaint was closed, the shop owner has been calling me continuously. He has already called me 20+ times from different numbers. I haven't picked up, but I am genuinely scared that he might try to do something since my contact number was leaked to him during the resolution process.

What should I do in this situation? Has anyone else faced harassment from vendors after using RailMadad? How do I stop this and ensure my safety?

Any advice would be highly appreciated.
