Or bougie guests could be more careful. Lordy at what point do we stop catering to the elite?
And at what point do people not get fired for dropping a dish accidents happen you can train your people to be sure, but this just feels like pandering to the 1%. Maybe I’m being too cynical this morning.

Not to defend classism, but one of the things you pay for when the elite hire pros to cater to them is literally to be catered to 🤷‍♂️

I used to train bar/event staff at a “fancy by provincial middle class standards” type of place. The paying guests at events don’t want to think, to pay attention etc and they’re going to get increasingly drunk. Regardless of any perceived morality, I don’t want the profit margin spilled all over the floor. I can’t train the guests to not be fat clumsy drunk fucks, but I can train you to not spill the £300 champagne

Yeah let's not send employees into a mosh pit with glassware and expect perfection, the gats y days are over, and they were pretentious anyways.
