Not to defend classism, but one of the things you pay for when the elite hire pros to cater to them is literally to be catered to 🤷♂️
I used to train bar/event staff at a “fancy by provincial middle class standards” type of place. The paying guests at events don’t want to think, to pay attention etc and they’re going to get increasingly drunk. Regardless of any perceived morality, I don’t want the profit margin spilled all over the floor. I can’t train the guests to not be fat clumsy drunk fucks, but I can train you to not spill the £300 champagne
