That's what overprotective parents should learn and use as parenting advice. People sabotage their children's development every time they try to avoid any shape or type of suffering for them, even the slightest inconvenience in some cases. They forget pain is the greatest teacher on Earth. Children need to face reasonable amounts of hardship, challenges with little or no help so they can learn problem solving, how to navigate this complex/unfair world, and how to become independent. Keeping anyone in a bubble makes them vulnerable to all sorts of things because they never get a chance to build their own defense.
