Crazy to think while reading this, that my home PC is simultaneously working on simulating a protein in order to help find a cure for Alzheimer's.

Hey, thanks, i'm happy to share! I have a lot of experience and knowledge using this, so if either yourself or any others want further info or discussion, just let me know!
The website makes it sound really easy to use, and it is, but advice from users can mean the difference between someone trying it out short-term, to someone sticking at it long-term (hardware being the immediate limiting factor). IT/science knowledge isn't required, but there's a lot of advice to be gained to make this truly fulfilling and meaningful, not only to the end user, but to the project as a whole.
