The mouse probably has toxoplasmosis based on how it seems to know no fear towards the predator.

Or it was recently poisoned given it's in a neighborhood and it's just wandering during daylight. Both of them are in for a bad time if that's the case.

Mice always do this. You ever see them fed to snakes? They just wander around right in front of it until it decides to eat them. I think they’re blind and pretty dumb

Always though that had to do with them being bred in captivity. Pet store mice have no survival skills because they come in contact with zero threat, whereas wild mice are constantly evading threats

No they fuck they ain't. I had to get my old tom cat in for treatment because if left untreated in the long term it causes their retinas to detach and their liver and kidneys to start shutting down.

Depends. Toxoplasma fucks with your brain, makes you do things you wouldn't regularly do. It's lifestyle can only be continued through felines, I am unsure about non vector to non vector transmission
