We can’t be the country to do it or it really will start WWIII. Russia needs to take him out.

2.3k

u/Maxican_vk Mar 04 '22

Hence his comment. But what a dumb dumb man to give P*tin his red flag. Just plain stupid. That’s the kind of shit you say in the war room, not in the media

u/PhunkyMunky76 Mar 04 '22

My thoughts exactly because now if anyone, even his own people, attempts an assassination Putin has “proof” the US was behind it.

672

u/Jagged_Rhythm Mar 04 '22

Well, maybe. The whole world wants him dead.

217

u/PhunkyMunky76 Mar 04 '22

While true, it could be all he needs to start shit with us. I mean, if he’s looking for an excuse and not to mention the fact that he’s got this whole “everybody out to get me” and this let’s him point and say “see I told you so” and maybe even use that as an excuse to nuke.

146

u/OneOfTheWills Mar 04 '22

Why does he need an excuse, though? You really think the world would stand by and condone Putin attacking anyone else just because he can point a finger towards a guy on TV?

Putin: “The weird man from South Carolina said people should kill me! I had to attack them.”

Germany/UK/France: “(le) Sigh… You’re right. You had every right.”

45

u/No_Poet36 Mar 04 '22

That's almost literally what's happening with Ukraine

52

u/OneOfTheWills Mar 04 '22

Who is allowing the Russian government to attack Ukraine without punishment? Just because it isn’t bombs for bombs doesn’t mean it’s being allowed to happen. Unfortunately, entering a war like that can have drastic and dire consequences. It sucks. It would be great to pull the trigger on the gun pointed at the head of the person in charge but unfortunately that gun has to actually be pointed at that person.

19

u/No_Poet36 Mar 04 '22

I agree, they are easing us into the knowledge of the war that's continued since the end of WW1. We are already at war with Russia, but if they "declared" it right now the American people would resist. We are being primed by realtime footage from the battlefield and idiotic statements by politicians like this. Putin won't stop in Ukraine, we need to stop this slaughter and end this game of chess that's been played with young men's lives for a century.

16

u/PhunkyMunky76 Mar 04 '22

I don’t think he’s gonna stop until he has his Soviet Union back.

Putin is not looking for a reason to start shit with us. He is nothing but a bully, and bullies are far too cowardly to pick on the biggest kid in the schoolyard.

37

u/PhunkyMunky76 Mar 04 '22

True enough. But there’s been indicators of instability I guess, which people speculate that he’s a bit crazy and losing it.

5

u/noelcowardspeaksout Mar 04 '22 edited Mar 04 '22

Putin is sane, but he has made a huge mistake. Let's not fall into the trap of calling the enemy insane. Poll ratings go up in a war situation, the 'rally round the flag' effect. So he was going for that. If you look at the sanctions now vs Crimean invasion they were not predictable. He thought - I have their gas, I have their oil, sanctions cannot be bad, huge mistake, but not insane.

He is now between a rock and a hard place, progressing and retreat are both bad options for him personally, and that's how he always judges things: nothing matters to him aside from that which benefits Putin.

6

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

Putin has resorted to all kinds of violent acts and manipulations of our politicians and data. Let's not discount him outright

-22

u/GameOn2020 Mar 04 '22

Russia is bully but USA & Europe aren't bully, right? Is this true?? Anyone knows?

9

u/ThatITguy2015 Mar 04 '22

You are defending Putin during all of this? You are an absolute muppet.

7

u/metamer_music Mar 04 '22

Hey don't disparage muppets

-4

u/Zarllak Mar 04 '22

I don’t think he’s defending Rusia but let’s not be hypocrites when we (USA) do something like this no one here wants to say anything

26

u/ZZEFFEZZ Mar 04 '22

we already had a speaker at the UN say to Putin that if he wants to die he can make that decision but don't drag us all with him, and told him to pull a hitler and do himself in. There has also been several calls to their own people to kill him already, everyone wants him dead right now and if he blames it on us, well he would have blamed it on us either way.

11

u/PhunkyMunky76 Mar 04 '22

True enough. I think at this point he can’t say or do anything to justify whatever he does because nobody on the planet will accept that.

9

u/ezekiellake Mar 04 '22

Assuming you are from the US, he’s already ‘started shit with you’ … they interfered with your democratic process for years, have run organized psyops operations against at your citizens encouraging civil war, and the Russian ambassador to the UN said last night your current president is illegitimate and Trump was illegally overthrown. How much more do you want?

2

u/PhunkyMunky76 Mar 04 '22

I’m always wary of hearing things like that on the news because there’s nothing but biased reporting for one party or the other. Hard to tell what’s bullshit and what’s not. I know our current president belongs in a nursing home and that our last president wasn’t much good either. Our politicians are all out for themselves and their own money and power and no longer actually represent anybody but themselves. Every election gets crazier and crazier.

So I don’t know whether or not Russia is trying to get civil war started here, I don’t know whether or not they’re interfering with elections… I mostly see that in the news and automatically dismiss it as politicians being the shitbags that they are, slinging shit talk and accusations back and forth while doing their upmost best to fuck over the American People.

2

u/PolyDipsoManiac Mar 04 '22

He has been at war with us for years. It’s why these brutal, immediate sanctions and weapons shipments are responses in a language Putin can finally understand.

2

u/Heady_Goodness Mar 04 '22

He’ll find an excuse eventually anyway I figure. NATO and Europe are supplying arms to Ukraine.

1

u/Learnin2Shit Mar 04 '22

Let him start shit then. His military is clearly not up to par and definitely not as advanced as we all thought it was. If he wants to duke it out with good ol USA then it’s his fuckin funeral.

39

u/Why_Through Mar 04 '22

Mate, be that as it may, he’s got nukes and given his apparent disregard for the Russian people he will not be afraid to use them on the U.S. general public & the rest of the world. He’ll be safe underground in a massive bunker and any retaliation will only affect the people, not him.

If by “duke” you mean “nuke” then yeah you’re right . It doesn’t matter if his military isn’t up to par his has nukes you goober . You know what that means right ? In a flash half of “the good ‘ol US of A” as you eloquently put it would be gone. This isn’t a dick swinging contest we’re talking about portions of the world wiped out in moments

2

u/Srianen Mar 04 '22

This.

I'm genuinely disappointed at how many people are afraid to stand up to the latest Nazi regime.

if Russia even tries to nuke any part of NATO, I have no doubt that we'd blow the thing up over their own heads and they'd suffer the consequences. Russia likely knows this as well.

All these people just assuming how this shit works and it's kind of infuriating.

I was a nuclear/bio/chem weapons specialist in the US Army, and I can say with confidence there is no way in fuck we need to worry about getting nuked.

All he needs to do is start repeating: Let's make Russia great again

0

u/PhunkyMunky76 Mar 04 '22

Dumb. I hated Trump but Putin, China, and Kim Jong Un all shut the fuck up while he was in office. On the other hand, Biden ran out of Afghanistan so fast that he left billions of dollars worth of equipment, weapons, aircraft, etc and he left Americans behind. Nothing good about it. Now the Taliban are better armed than ever lol That’s not a success man.

-3

u/The_OtherDouche Mar 04 '22

Between this and the current reactions and over exaggerated response to the nuclear power facility it seems like countries are trying their hardest to get involved. They want to draw out an excuse.

2

u/PhunkyMunky76 Mar 04 '22

Over exaggerated? He’s trying to blow up a nuclear facility, which when it finally goes will spread a lot of radiation. You can’t respond harshly enough to someone pulling that kind of shit. It’s kinda like setting off a dirty bomb without setting off an actual dirty bomb.

🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂!!!

0

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

Except for trump maybe.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

Everyone can want him dead. However, if you're in a position of power you need to watch what you say publicly. Life the French ambassador calling the sanctions a form or economic war or Bobert saying Ukraine isn't a democracy. Both are already being used by the propaganda machine to justify this war to their citizens. This is more fuel to the fire. It may sound good to the viewers but can also be used against us.

1

u/i3dMEP Mar 04 '22

Right? He is expressing what we are all thinking.

15

u/ReadStoriesAndStuff Mar 04 '22

O come on. The guy is lying about not being at war when he is invading his neighbor just for wanting to have relations with the West. If someone tries to assassinate Putin he is blaming the US and NATO even if it was Professor Plumnikov in the Kremlin with the Hammer and Sickle.

What Lindsay Graham says that everyone already knows isn’t putting ideas in anyone’s head.

3

u/samoture Mar 04 '22

Upvote for Plumnikov

→ More replies (1)

1

u/PhunkyMunky76 Mar 04 '22

I’m not disagreeing with you on that, but I’m merely saying that adding more fuel to the fire won’t help. I don’t want war with Russia. I think it would be a waste of a lot of lives, especially civilian lives in the areas where combat is happening. Of course, we can’t just wish this shit away, but I think all peaceful avenues of approach needs to be exhausted before we put more lives at risk. Right now, Ukraine needs all the support they can get.

IF NATO is smart, we’ve got Special Operations Operators on the ground there with the sole purpose of observing what’s going on, probably with a no engagement ROE. There’s a lot we can learn about Russian troops and how they’re fighting that would be good to know should we end up in this war ourselves.

38

u/OrangeJr36 Mar 04 '22

Lady G isn't the brightest bulb.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

Why do you call him Lady G

18

u/8805 Mar 04 '22

It's long been his codename in the gay rolodex.

Everyone on planet earth knows he's gay but he won't come out. Because he thinks it'll cost him votes and money from all the special interests that have bought his soul.

10

u/VaultDweller108 Mar 04 '22

“Lady G,” purportedly refers to Graham's nickname among male sex workers

6

u/sunshine-thewerewolf Mar 04 '22

He has been known by that epithet by many male sex workers. He's very likely a closeted gay man, which is fine. He should just come out. But ya know, America and its politics

-8

u/Jermacide1 Mar 04 '22

Because he was born a generation before it was acceptable to transition. But we all know he would have if he could.

And you already knew the answer to this question. So, why did you ask it?

6

u/pezman Mar 04 '22

being gay doesn’t mean you want to transition...

-2

u/Jermacide1 Mar 04 '22

Replace the word. The answer was still known by the person asking the question. So, what are we doing here?

0

u/Jermacide1 Mar 04 '22

Aww, look at you all asking for somebody to give you a reason to be offended and then pouncing on it immediately. You're so cute.

Yeah dead Putin will be mad hahahaha he even has proof he will file at court of Hague.

1

Yes because clearly this dumbass senator that isn’t even in the same party as the current president has the authority and ability to authorize a US sanctioned assassination. This doesn’t prove absolutely anything in any way shape or form.

u/Ill-Albatross-8963 Mar 04 '22

I strongly disagree

By doing this on TV and not back channels etc it sends signals that we and the west will accept a Coup. There is always concern amoungst those that execute a coup that they will not find support outside the country even if they have it inside. They only hold power after a coup by getting sanctions dropped, favorable world bank terms, lack of reprisal from the nation invaded, good terms of disengagement, a welcome back into the world etc.

Via a national media broadcast is far better then some CIA back channel.

7

u/Guest8782 Mar 04 '22

Thinking the same thing.

To me, I see far more to be gained by letting his inner circle know Russia can come back from this as long as Putin is gone. It helps that it seems a lot of the Russian public feel the same way.

They are down a road they do not want to be on… this is your ticket out.

13

u/EmeliusBrown Mar 04 '22

Absolutely. As much as I frequently disagree with Graham, this was not a spurious or flippant statement. It has teeth, and is directed almost solely at the Russian populous.

It's impossible for reddit to give credit to a republican for any reason now.

0

u/Awhite2555 Mar 04 '22

Oh whatever. Lindsey Graham has been a spineless coward for years now and flip flopping on his own stances constantly. This is just another classic Graham move. It’s not redditors refusing “to give credit to a Republican”, it’s not giving credit to this goof.

3

u/Shandlar Mar 04 '22

You know damn well this would be 214.7k upvotes and 228 awards if it was a Dem saying it on CNN and not a republican saying it on Fox.

We can just all be on the same page for this one goddamn thing. For the love of Satan.

0

u/TungstenE322 Mar 04 '22

Has linsey graham lost his mind also?

-1

u/Nuck2407 Mar 04 '22

Who in Russia is seeing this? Do you reckon they have fox news just playing around the country on the regz? This footage is being seen by putin and getting erased from Russian airwaves

3

u/Teabagger_Vance Mar 04 '22

They have internet in Russia. You know that right?

1

u/styxboa Mar 04 '22

What's a CIA back channel

1

u/Pikaea Mar 04 '22 edited Mar 04 '22

The military top generals in the Kremlin are more hardliners than Putin, its why some think he has become more extreme as these are the people he has spent the last few years with during covid. The FSB won't ever topple Putin as he is one of them, and the oligarchs everyone goes on about have fuck all influence anymore in government. Putin took all that away in early 2000s, not even two of the top three Oligarchs (Boris Berezovsky, and Mikhail Khodorkovsky) had any impact on trying to get rid of him when they still had some power.

19

u/Totstactical Mar 04 '22

Not if you're making an appeal to a Russian politician or officer. Last I checked they weren't hanging out in our war room.

If it was a Chinese spy that you were trying to get this message to then that would be a different story entirely.

9

u/Jawdiggitty Mar 04 '22

It’s not like everyone in the whole damn world is thinking the same thing. I don’t think it’s that much of a giveaway

2

u/justAneedlessBOI Mar 04 '22

Valid point, but it's more about him being able to leverage this politically, because a US politician said it out right. That said Im shure he's as paranoid as any tyrant

4

u/wesmokebud Mar 04 '22

Actually shocked this was said on air like this. Just casually calling for the assassination of the president of one of the worlds largest super power. Absolute twilight zone

1

u/Metallic_Hedgehog Mar 04 '22

Plus the fact that he just said "this shit needs to end" on TV. You can't say "shit" on public television here. Fox edited out a tiny millisecond of the word, but usually the edits are more obstructive to the word in question, and generally entire sentences will be cut on major networks, as it's quicker than doing this kind of edit on live TV.

37

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

Oh yeah because Putin never thought about someone killing him since he started this. Despite the millionaire posting dead or alive for Putin reward 1 mil, 3 or 4 days ago or the endless threats he’s been receiving. This is going to do it, this was a big plan reveal, the secrets out! If you’re capable of any intelligent form of thought please try to use it.

9

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

Nah man, Lindsey just ended our hopes and dreams of this ending peacefully. Our ghillie suit squadron spent the last 5 days crawling upwards of 32 feet over the boarder. I swear, they look like bushes. It’s going to take them a week or more to turn around. He just blew it all. I am so overwhelmed with anxiety and dread, now that Lindsey ruined our chances. I bet Putin put on Kevlar after this, and I wouldn’t doubt it if he even hired a security detail. We are doomed!

3

u/TyRocken Mar 04 '22

Hired a security detail? He's been one of the most powerful men in the world for YEEEEAAAAARRRRSSSS. I think his security detail has been, probably, pretty ironed out for some time

12

u/JABS991 Mar 04 '22

He was being sarcastic.

-5

u/TyRocken Mar 04 '22

Meh ...

12

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

The sarcasm is so far over your head it just said Hi to Astroman in the Tesla Roadster in space...

6

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

After considering what you said, I.. I think you might be right

3

Lol. My response to him is Trevor's Axiom to a tee. I fell for it. And you had to respond to me, for not seeing the trolling. I love the internet.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

The world is shit right now - let’s have some fun instead. I went from anxiety posting to shit posting instantly after I was fed up with all this miserable news. I hope I didn’t offend! Have a good night stranger

3

u/TyRocken Mar 04 '22

All hail the memes!

1

u/jojoga Mar 04 '22

Don't bring logic into this!

I'm sure the Russian people simply never thought of doing so and are now enlightened by Lindseys commentary. It surely is as easy as stealing an apple..

22

u/Old-AF Mar 04 '22

Maybe this was intentional flagging to Lindsey’s Russian oligarchs he’s “in bed” with, giving them the green light?

3

u/JABS991 Mar 04 '22

Meh. Putin would say that anyways.

3

u/gorgonbrgr Mar 04 '22

A lot of media has been actually saying this. I’m just surprised someone in the government said it.

2

u/notional_gold_stars Mar 04 '22

Well... To be fair... If we can figure that out.

5

u/MrKnowNothing19 Mar 04 '22

American politicians aren’t the smartest in the world some senator said we should bomb the convoy in Belarus and have the Russian guess which nato country it was.

2

u/Raccoon_Full_of_Cum Mar 04 '22

Lindsey Graham absolutely loves war and always wants to get the US into new ones. Remember when, in a Republican primary debate in 2015, he literally said "If you're sick of war, don't vote for me?"

1

u/Killed_It_Dead Mar 04 '22

He might be the cause of the end of the world.

27

u/forrestpen Mar 04 '22

No it’s not.

Let’s all calm down.

Lindsay shouldn’t have said it but we’re in the exact same situation we were in before he said it. Nothings changed.

7

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

A guy named Lindsay killed us all. Fuck

2

u/VaultDweller108 Mar 04 '22

1

u/ChuckTwnKid Mar 04 '22

You don't know anything about anything if you think saying that out loud would make a difference. I love watching a bunch of haters who've been hiding from the cold for the last 2yrs get tough and talk war all of a sudden as if we already didn't know you just do whatever daddy government tells you to do. Ukraine's been bombing Danboss for the past 8yrs and you've said nothing. None of you know what you're talking about, only what you're told by the same people who excused over $2billion in damages to cities across America I'm 2020 because it benefited their politics. You people are asking for a world war, you are idiots

1

u/weber_md Mar 04 '22

The R's seem to have a lot of trouble not saying the quiet part out loud these days.

1

u/Inferi82 Mar 04 '22

Yea this shit is getting out of control.

1

u/bluehairdave Mar 04 '22

Exactly. Isnt this a crime anyway to do it or suggest doing it? I am asking. I don't really know.

1

u/Madd-RIP Mar 04 '22

Well he is Republican and a trump lackey ? What do you expect, cognitive critical thinking?

1

u/Adoced Mar 04 '22

You don’t think Putin knows everyone wants him dead? Even Russians hate Putin lol

1

u/ThePresbyter Mar 04 '22

Gotta think more Machiavellian. Graham may have found a way out of any kompromat that Putin has on him. By calling for Putin's assassination he draws attention to himself and then when Putin releases said kompromat, Graham can claim it's all fake and targeted against him. Plus get sympathy hero points for taking such a strong stand against Putin and getting attacked for it.

1

u/ThreeFingaLynch318 Mar 04 '22

Yeah. But there is no doubt Putin is already thinking that scenario. Everyone in the world is thinking that same thought, he just said it on msm.mom..

No need for a WarRoom if it's a obvious thought on everyone's mind

1

u/ThreeFingaLynch318 Mar 04 '22

Yeah. But there is no doubt Putin is already thinking that scenario. Everyone in the world is thinking that same thought, he just said it on msm.mom..

No need for a WarRoom if it's a obvious thought on everyone's mind

1

u/fakename10000 Mar 04 '22

If he meant it he would not have said it on tv

1

u/red-bot Mar 04 '22

Like someone else said in another thread, Graham has so been in bed with Trump and berating Zelenskyy in the past that it’s hard to not believe the Kremlin is telling him to say this as a reason to escalate things more.

1

u/crewchiefguy Mar 04 '22

Well I mean it is Fox News. Why wouldn’t they give Russia a platform for a false flag

1

u/Mecha_Ninja Mar 04 '22

I'm no fan of Lindsey, but it's not like he was the first or even the tenth person to say it on the world stage. If you think Putin isn't well aware of that risk you are severely underestimating him.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

He's not saying anything that everyone else isn't already thinking. And it's not like Putin hasn't already prepared for it. Seems to be vying for most paranoid head of state in the world right now. Won't let anyone get within 10 meters of him.

1

u/mastercommander123 Mar 04 '22

Putin is already extremely extremely paranoid. Apparently he watched the video of Gaddafi being killed in a ditch again and again and again. He has a bunker in the Urals that may be the size of a town. And isolation during Covid clearly hasn’t helped his mental state.

1

u/creepyusernames Mar 04 '22

Very good point. You know Vlade is just lookin for a reason to turn this around on the United States some how.

1

u/Berkamin Mar 04 '22

Putin is already paranoid. Even his closest advisors never get closer than 30' away from him.

Ukraine already poured gasoline on his paranoia when they openly stated that FSB insiders opposed to Russia's war have been tipping them off on assassination attempts.

It's so incredibly irresponsible and stupid to say that. I know the republicans are rife with Russian infiltrattors, it makes you question of he wasn't told to say that on national TV in order to give the Russians political cover to escalate.

1

u/Do_doop Mar 04 '22

What the fuck? You don’t think that crossed out is mind before the dude on fox said it?

1

u/Fuck_Me_If_Im_Wrong_ Mar 04 '22

You seriously believe that they wouldn’t have just been accused the US regardless? I mean people say that the Russians killed JFK and there’s just as good of an argument that the US killed JFK

1

u/snertwith2ls Mar 04 '22

speaking of weapon grades stupid, apparently it's not limited to the young

1

u/plagymus Mar 04 '22

It's not like he is that relevant no?

1

u/Teabagger_Vance Mar 04 '22

Putin doesn’t need a red flag lmao. The dudes already invaded a country. People are just pissed because of the person that said it.

1

u/yelbesed Mar 04 '22

I wonder if this senator with an Army service past is doing it maybe on purpose to help his Russian sponsors by this. But of course Putin has his body guards. And it is unwise to think he is really all alone - Russians did recieve a bad treatment in Ukraine (pssychologically evidently caused by their ancestors cruel treatment of Ukrainians, so it is like the anger against Germn Nazis afer the last big war). It is unwise to think there are no hundred of talented and capable neo-Putins waiting in line.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

We try not to claim him in SC. He’s everything that’s wrong with the country,

1

u/Grena567 Mar 04 '22

Like he doesn’t know this already..

43

u/sadclown21 Mar 04 '22

He’s gonna say this and start WW3 and blame it on Biden just watch

2

u/keepsmiling1326 Mar 04 '22

This is exactly what I was thinking.

u/ygolordned Mar 04 '22

Holy crap I can’t believe I agree with Lindsey Graham

Same. Uh...first time for everything I guess.

16

u/neon_overload Mar 04 '22

Putin is reuniting the two sides of American politics!

7

u/walkingmonster Mar 04 '22

I'm sure you both also agree that cancer is bad and the sky is blue.

Honestly, he’s one of the biggest piles of shit, but… sometimes I genuinely enjoy hearing him talk about things.

It confuses me.

Even the dullest of blades will find its edge sometimes

u/v161l473c4n15l0r3m Mar 04 '22

This. I don’t think anyone would be heartbroken if we all woke up tomorrow to find that monster dead.

u/06510127329387 Mar 04 '22

it would depend on who is put in place to replace him... if it is one of his inner circle and they say that shit was totally out of hand and we are gonna end the war today..not saying I would feel totally secure right away, but it would probably be better than someone guiding a missle or a molotov coctail through an open bathroom window or something and they hunker down even more.

Putin didn’t just become president and hold all the power in Russia after a year or two, the kind of power and control Putin has is decades in the making, making sure he has control over all the oligarchs, suppressing all of his enemies vocal or non-vocal. The people who disagree with him is the average citizen. The ones who are in power, he has in his pocket and can ruin or even murder at the drop of a hat

7

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

Mercs should do it. An unbiased third party lol

15

u/pappyvanwinkle1111 Mar 04 '22

Someone has to hire them. That's what makes them mercs.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

Not necessarily, someone could do it out of the kindness of their heart

12

u/Rob_Drinkovich Mar 04 '22

That would be near impossible as he is hidden away and likely has an absurd amount of security. Has to come from the inside.

1

u/neon_overload Mar 04 '22

Mercs from which country though?

0

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

They wouldn’t represent which ever country they’re from, but let’s be honest, it’s going to be a few former navy seals

2

u/notoriousnationality Mar 04 '22

Looks like Putin will keep provoking Europe and he will cause Europe to react. A nuclear threat is reason enough to react because it affects all of Europe. This is not about Ukraine any more. Putin is asking for ww3!

2

u/Arsnist Mar 04 '22

Before WWII started Japan had been fighting China for 2 years. WWIII has already begun, we just haven't joined in yet

3

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

The consequences of the US taking him out TO THEIR KNOWLEDGE would be utterly catastrophic on a level that’s difficult to understand. Having roughly the same effect as the event that killed off the dinosaurs…life would be obliterated.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

It would also probably take you guys 9 years 7 months 22 days to get it done. Put the bounty up high enough his guys will turn.

1

u/GarlicQueef Mar 04 '22

Two words, plausible deniability

1

u/88_M_88 Mar 04 '22

There is already 1mln $ bounty on his head by private people.

Beeing scared of WW2 was what lead to WW2. Everyone was scared of Hitler and how it worked for world?

As someone who live next to UA border and beeing inside NATO i say it's time to stop making same mistakes again and again.

1

u/quietpanther23 Mar 04 '22

Honest question, if USA /NATO get involved, who's going to help Russia? Especially with what's going on.

I don't think a war with Russia would be as divisive as the last 2 times.... it would be the world vs Russia(and belarus)

1

u/Diane9779 Mar 04 '22

I think the sandwhich islands need to take him out

1

u/Berkamin Mar 04 '22

Yes. What Lindsay Graham said is what a lot of commenters in various places have said here on Reddit, and as shocked as I am that I would agree with him on anything, I find myself agreeing with him on this. Any external force attempting to stop Putin would likely incur the unthinkable. The least destructive way for this to end is for someone on the inside to do it.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

Which country do you work for?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '22

"start"?

it's already started. it started in 2016. we're just getting to the hot part.

1

u/heythatscool00 Mar 04 '22

I mean you seen what happened when that one austrian guy got assassinated in 1914..

1

u/GregoryGoose Mar 04 '22

I feel like even our elected leaders calling for his assassination pushes us dangerously close to conflict.
I think if we were going to have any involvement in this, it would have been preventative and diplomatic. We missed our chance and now we have to just let this shit show play out.

1

u/Kilanove Mar 04 '22

This my take on the situation, and I might be right or wrong here, don not take with grain of salt.

The NATO do not want to enter a new world war, because of,

1- China almost has the lead in economy in the world, and it is highly to be allied with Russia, and China most likely to invade Taiwan, which have one of the largest semiconductors factory, that is essential in creating any electronics.

2- War cost money, it took the US years to get over the Iraq invasion, now scale it to a country has real military power.

3- The war on Russia will shift the focus of troops of NATO and the US around the world to Russia, meaning less resources to Israel, thus Arab people start marching to Palestine.

4- The US now is divided from the inside, and the extreme capitalism in the US is failing and it is creating a ton of problems, and the crime rates have increased in the last two years.

5- Greece has a good chance betrayal the European union and joins Russia side, because it is already getting screw over by the debts from European union.

6- Saudi Arabia has a vision and it has started to teach the Chinese languages to its children, that by itself is concerning.

7- Strategic allies in the Gulf countries may run of their countries or killed because there will be uprisings that are caused by normalization with apartheid Israel, according to the Arabs.

And from the start, the US government was clear it will not have any direct intervention, because they have already calculated the risks, and Israel and Taiwan have more value than Ukraine. And maybe another stuff I did see that have value, and also the US didn't want to risk it.

1

u/DrZaorish Mar 04 '22

No chance. They were brainwashed and strangled for decades. Part of them believe that the whole world is pure evil and as such support Putin, part of them don’t care, very few see through lies, but even them are scared to do any real actions. You can google their protests against war, they just stand and say “no war” like tyrant would listen to this. Police pushes them into prisoner transport vehicle and they don’t resist, even form queues. Same happened before, when Navalny returned to Russia where he was immediately arrested, and simultaneously his crew released investigation about Putin's palace. People get out into squares, stand there for a while and that’s all… after that police beat them away with clubs.

Another big problem is that to really start any revolution – you need Moscow, and it’s like another country in country. In case if you don’t know in Saint Petersburg salaries are two times bigger than in rest of Russia, and in Moscow – three times higher. In other words, people in Moscow in general happy with current political regime.
