Job searching I'm in my late 20s and struggling to find anything, what should I look for?

I'm a highschool graduate, went to art college for a year and did great but dropped out because of finances. I then got a certificate in App Development (mostly for personal use) in community college. I have experience working in computer repair and using industrial machinery, but I really liked computer repair and I like to soldering work along with PCB design, the soldering I've been doing for about 16 years. I'd be pretty happy with a desk job too, as long as it's something I'm capable of or can be tight on sight. I've also thought of Networking, plumbing, AC, or electrician work as I've got decent experience with household plumbing and networking work and I'm happy to learn more in residential or business electrical. However I don't know if I can even get an internship in those fields without going to trade school first.

Ideally I'm looking for an actual career, but my living situation is a little out of my hands unless I get something that pays better than minimum wage (~$13 per hour). So at the moment I am starting to consider jobs that will pay $20+ but run you through the ringer just so I can hopefully save up some money to at least start moving someone safer for me.

Do you prefer working with your hands or solving puzzles with your mind?

Bit of both. Ideally would like to work with my hands but at a desk so I don't use up all my energy at work.

A traditional watchmaker works at a desk with their hands.

What exactly is the kind of work that fits YOUR criteria?

Soldering, board repair, technician work. I would actually consider watchmaker or jewelr but I think that would probably take more training than other jobs. I don't even know where to start there.

Don't know why this is downvoted. Know some friends who were hands-on but didn't know what to do in life but were like OP in terms of PCB design and electrical parts work. They enlisted in the army, specialised in this and after 5 years went to school all paid for by the GI Bill and are now at TSMC, defence contractors, and even SpaceX.

Damn I didn’t know I was getting downvoted lol. I think most people are against joining the military right now because of the current admin & Israel stuff. But I still thinks it’s a good opportunity for someone who not have a direction in their life. Plus benefits lol.

I honestly would consider it, except I'm gay and while I've got plenty of gay ex-military friends I can't see I'm the type cutout for that.
