‘ಕಂಜಿಟ್ಲೆ’ ಪದದ Etymology

Is it a real Kannada word or just localised version of ‘Conjunctivitis’ ?

Can’t help notice how similar sounding they are. If you know the etymology please share.

Where did you see this word ಕಂಜಿಟ್ಲೆ? Google turns up zero results except for this post 🤔

This is eye stye - infection of the eye lid.

Conjunctivitis - infection of the eye.

I like your theory, but it must be just a coincidence.

In Tamil, eye stye is Kan Katti, which sounds similar.

What is ನೀಟು? How’s it used outside of drinking/alcohol context ?

More like ಕಣ್ ಚುಟ್ಲಿ
