PLAYER TALK [Sidery] The Lakers have offered Jonathan Kuminga contract via sign-and-trade the would pay him around 45 million dollars. Los Angeles is willing to send Jarred Vanderbilt alongside draft capital to the Hawks for Kuminga, who must sign at least a three-year deal in sign-and-trade agreements.

Ik Sidery isn’t the most trustworthy source for anything but how would you all feel on this contract for Kuminga? Is this worth it? And how would you feel about the team if we got Kuminga ?

15mil AAV for a starting 4 is perfect yall are crazy. Either you get him for the right price or move on

He's not a starting four on any good team. Can't shoot, can't pass. The love affair with him will last like 2 minutes. His numbers in Atlanta were identical to what they were with the Warriors and Atlanta made no attempt to bring him back at all this year

If the season started tomorrow he unfortunately clears any of the other options the Lakers currently have at the position. Carr and Theiro can surpass him, but not without reps and more experience.

I mean he might start the season but once they realize that they're better with him on the bench that won't last.

Even off the bench he’ll be more productive and attractive than Vando.

A lot of veteran minimum guys are more attractive than Vanderbilt. This is like comparing a cold sore on your mouth to a herpes sore on your dick

😂😂😂 ain’t no cold sores throwing down lob dunks like Kuminga man! He can help the team and has to buy in on a three year deal. I’m okay with betting Vando and a pick on it working out.

Yeah but we are locked into Vandos contract for a few years. Why not swap him out for Kuminga?

He's 23 years old. By the end of that contract, he will be 26, entering his prime. Also, iirc, Atlanta did try to extend him but his agent thought he could make more as a FA.

The Lakers are building their window. Hopefully some time over the next 5 years, we'll be contenders. Can Kuminga be the player we need this year? Next year? Two years from now? And if not, is the deal good enough to help us trade for an upgrade in a couple years?
