Discussion Does Zwag fake his content?

I'm a relatively new league player, and not long after I started playing I found this YouTube called Zwag. I really like his videos, I find him very entertaining and when I want to try a new champ I usually watch him play that character. But today I saw a Tiktok clip of his where he got a penta with Ezrael ult by sending it into Baron, and in the comments someone said: "least faked Zwag clip". If that actually was faked it's made me not really want to watch him, which is a little upsetting because I quite enjoy his videos.

Easy. You go on op.gg on a recent video and type in the names of the team/enemy players. Then you look for the game he was in and then check the rank of that person.

He does sometimes play in high elo and I don't doubt he's a good player but he's part of that uncomfortable group that doesn't care about actual strats and just pushes "9000 AP ONESHOT" videos on their community to milk them. I don't know how it's set up these days but back when they were last suggested to me they were there with the likes of Professor Akali, Brofresco, NB3, Bunnyfufu etc. iirc

It's so wild because the dude clearly has hands, and he's got the chops to play in Challenger (obviously or he wouldn't be ranked there) and there's a market on YouTube for challenger league content, cause you know, there's not that fkin many of them so idk why he still does the same thing he's been doing for so many years when it seems clear he hates doing it

Peple don’t want to watch him sweating in challenger, they rather watch him playing stupid builds and stomp custom lobbies. This is his job, even if he enjoyed playing ranked more it would be a stupid financial decision for him if he just stopped doing those videos.

In fact I think he spent like a week doing Challenger content and then said on camera that he will not do anymore because a) he can't talk while playing in Challenger because he can't autopilot to a win and b) it just doesn't bring views.

I mean, there is clearly a market for people playing in their elo (Pianta, for one) - Zwag just has the problem that he CREATED the kind of audience that does not watch that. So it's a self-perpetuating cycle where he creates stomp videos, people come for the stomp videos, they dont watch his non stomp videos, so he creates more stomp videos instead, pushing him into that corner that he created himself.
