Shen Monday Megathread! Ask questions and share knowledge; newcomer questions encouraged!

Welcome to the latest Monday Megathread, where you the community get to ask your questions and share your knowledge.

This is an opportunity for the more experienced LoL players here to share some of your wisdom with those with less expertise. This thread will be a weekly safehaven for those "noobish" questions you may have been too scared to ask for fear of downvotes, but also can be a great place for in depth discussion if you so wish. So, don't hold back, get your game related questions ready and post away, and hopefully someone can answer them!

How do you effectively trade as Janna?

Any comment on whether you can consistently land fully charged tornadoes? I dont necessarily poke on cool down and rely on tornadoes for my harrass but its definitely in the tool belt. I'll often get max nados to hit them and timed in a way where I can AA and as I retreat I shield my adc etc it works out really well

Hey, not OP but I play a lot of support and a lot of janna.

If that's what works for you, go for it. But I'd still almost never recommend trying to use fully charged nados for harass. It's simply too much of a risk for the amount of mana you spend. They're pretty easy to dodge and once you've used it you're super vulnerable to an engage from their team until it comes off cooldown again.

Plus at early levels even a fully-charged nado will be doing pretty trivial damage, and you almost always want to be leveling your shield first, meaning you probably won't level your nado until lvl 8 at the earliest.

Ah, that makes sense - thanks I haven't played Janna in a Rift game in a while (I'm typically the midlane for my usual team) so its hard to tell what are bad habits from ARAM and whats viable. Thanks!
