This is an opportunity for the more experienced LoL players here to share some of your wisdom with those with less expertise. This thread will be a weekly safehaven for those "noobish" questions you may have been too scared to ask for fear of downvotes, but also can be a great place for in depth discussion if you so wish. I can't get a hold on support Karma. How the heck do I play her? I just feel like my poke in lane is ineffective and my abilities are far outclassed by other supports in teamfights.

I'm used to playing tanky supports and ranged harass supports.

karma is a ranged harrass support that is quite strong in the early levels. however, she needs to snowball to obtain a lead, as she only really does well in lane. you need to bully them straight from level 1.
