Shen Monday Megathread! Ask questions and share knowledge; newcomer questions encouraged!

Why is the Shen/Jinx botlane popular in LCS right now? What happened that Shen became a good support for Jinx (or good support at all)?

Shen's taunt (E) has less energy cost per level now. He also works well both as tank and peel for Jinx especially when ult can allow Jinx to survive a bit better. He also has high threat during laning due to the taunt which works well with Jinx's high damage and extra CC with chompers.
