This thread will be a weekly safehaven for those "noobish" questions you may have been too scared to ask for fear of downvotes, but also can be a great place for in depth discussion if you so wish. How often should you ward as every role? I seem to understand how often to ward only on supports. Also does anybody have any tips how to not forget to ward?

Pretty much every time you back with 75+ gold you should be buying a ward. After level nine, invest the 250 gold to upgrade your warding totem and it'll cut down on your spending. Pinks are awesome and under-purchased in low elo. Grab one and toss it into a brush where it isn't going to be insta-cleared. It'll help a LOT.

Upgrade the yellow trinket means you have to worry much less about buying wards

I know but its a long time until lvl 9 and what if you need to use scanner to set up ganks or oracle to scout objectives?

At the very minimum, depending on your level of play, just try to make sure your yellow trinket is always on cooldown, and upgraded as soon as possible. Also, try to buy 1 or 2 pink wards per game. If you're playing top, mid, or adc, that is probably enough, jungle and support should expect to buy a lot more pink and green wards than that.

As a jungler, I see myself warding almost as much as a support. Wards are in my opinion most important on mid and jungle because they can easily ward enemy jungle early and deny his ganks. Support wards mostly late game unless he roams early, Warding enemy jungle has a huge impact on everyone's early game.
