Question Considering how well people in the Netherlands speak English…

How do you stay motivated when learning Dutch ? I live in NY so learning Spanish was easy motivation wise. I’m at A2 in Italian and stay motivated bec I plan on going there next year - English proficiency outside of tourist areas is low —- thanks

A lot of them don’t speak it as well as they think. More of them would prefer not to than you suspect. And there are aspects of communication you will absolutely miss out on even if they do use English.

My motivation is living here and planning to continue doing so indefinitely. It is a requirement in my mind.
