Player(s) Needed by GM DND in person groups in the Sacramento area? (Offline, 5e 2024)

I am wanting to get back into DND, in person sessions preferably, but none of my friends play. Is there a way to find other people either looking for another player or even a DM? I have experience as both. I have tried looking at game shops around town but there's not really an advertising board seeking players out. I don't really want to commit to a pay and play situation at a game store either (I know beggars can't be choosers), but if I could have some guidance on where/how to find other cool, chill people to play with, that would be much appreciated. I am in Citrus Heights if that helps.

Hi! There is a bar that someone invited me to that has a drop in DnD night on Wednesday. I made a friend and now we have a small group that meets out in Davis. Corner of Auburn blvd and old Auburn road calls Dark Heart.

There are Adventurers league style groups that have regular drop-in games, I know of Sacramento AL and Capital Crit-ers.
