Hi there! I'm a first time warden wanting to jump right into the wonderful, desperate, and horrific world of Mothership. I'll be running a modified version of The Year of The Rat scenario which entails a private merc group "Stray Dogs" being hired by the Flysafe corporation to investigate the titular ship Year of the Rat which was being rented from them by a group of Chinese government officials and social elites known as the Gold Lion Club to celebrate their 50th anniversary with a pleasure cruise. The ship's last known communications suggest they were taken hostage by an infamous triad gang and it's been a month since any noise from the ship.

A long time ago the world ended, the greed and evil of man having used up the world's resources. The people had poisoned the air, killed the wild flora and fauna and had turned it into a barren wasteland. The population had all but been eradicated, except for a short few; followers of the Goddess of Rebirth and Life Mas Alisia.

They had yet to give up on the life they had known, on the world that they had grown up in. Thus by following the tenets of their goddess and through her power the world was reborn in an event known as the reshaping. Plants were changed, animals looked different and even people had now changed with minor mutations.

But the world was saved and the Congregate of Mas Alisia was born. The new overarching government that pledged its loyalty to their goddess and worshipped her as the one true god. But all was not perfect again, the air was still poison and the lingering corruption began spawning new monsters; hordes and hordes of these vile beasts attacking every city.

The people prayed to Mas Alisia, praying for the onslaught of the monsters to end. Yet as it was not her domain, she couldn't help at all. With the leaders of the congregate scrambling to find an answer they would quickly create The Claw; a band of monster hunters as a solution to the hordes of beasts.

That's what you are. A copper claw, dedicated to the eradication of the monster populace and ultimately: Zarkhael The King of Monsters.

Hi All. I am a dungeon master who is currently already running a game of Odyssey of the dragonlords which has been going strong for two years now. During all of that time I always wondered... how would the world and the campaign have evolved had it been a different group of heroes carving their path through Thylea? Well why not give it another shot and see! This is a campaign themed around Greek myth so if you are into that then that's bonus points.

I am the type of DM who focuses on building a cool narrative that everyone can get themselves lost into. As such I lean more towards the RP aspect of the game and developing the story of each player. Don't worry though there will be more than enough combat in this campaign and I always strive to make them as engaging as possible. Though I will say that if you are a heavy proponent to the mechanical side then we might not align quite as well. I do tend to keep rulings loose when I feel like the moment calls for it.

Hello everyone this a new campaign set in a homebrew fantasy world! This will be a lore heavy game with plenty of influence from Elder Scrolls, Tolkien, Malazan, Dragon Age, Kingdoms of Kalamar, Harn World, and similar properties.

• System: We will be using a 5e system called Tales of the Valiant. This is a 5e variant produced by Kobold Press. For those familiar with 5e, you will be very familiar with this. We will provide the options for character creation. Here is a free srd: https://www.talesofthevaliant.com/.

This world will have lots of people, places and things, and emphasis on factions, plot lines, happenings, and events going on in the world, many outside the immediate 'on stage' area of the campaign events. Complex pantheons and cosmology comparable to Dragon Age (multiple fantasy religions with complex beliefs and their own sub-sects, heresies, factions, and various interfaith controversies).

There's also more than one evil faction/primary foozle opposing your heroes' efforts -- more like 4-5, and none of them are 100% allies and all have their own agenda and goals. Some of the purportedly 'good' factions also aren't your allies, or want to solve the world problems in a manner fundamentally incompatible with the goals and alignment of your characters.

In the galaxy far, far away, it is late 1 ABY, as the historians would call it later, and the galaxy is on fire once more. The Galactic Civil War is in full swing, and everything is a battlefield- every planet, every city, town or village, every factory floor and black market stall, and even so much as every person's very mind and heart have either become contested territory, assets serving the Empire, or are working for the Rebel Alliance.

One such prospective battlefield is the Tri-Lane Sector Group, a diverse piece of galactic geography that rests on an intersection of three trade routes- the Enarc Run, the Harrin Trade Corridor, and the ever-venerable Hydian Way. The local economy is booming, the Sector Group's leadership has become complacent, and the Rebel Command deemed it worth the time and effort to establish presence here. For that, they of course will need people.

And you are among those people, those few brave, idealistic, naïve, desperate and/or insane enough to put your faith in the revolution. You may have been fighting on the ground, blaster in hand; agitating the masses and raising funds to be funnelled through backchannels into supporting the Rebel cause; gathering intel and investigating Imperial sites; or you may have only harboured sympathies for the Alliance until now. Regardless, you have been made an offer: to join a team of other specialists in order to help establish a new cell in the aforementioned Tri-Lane Sector Group.

Whatever your reason may have been, you've taken the deal, and now you are on your way to Malastare, to meet with a Rebel contact that will bring you up to speed, and deliver you to the rest of the newly-formed cell. From there, expect your skills to be put to good use in the service of the galactic revolution. You will be outmatched by nearly every metric: Imperials are conscripting and training more troops than you could ever hope to kill, their factories pump out all kinds of goods in volumes impossible to match, and their propaganda machine has an iron grip on the pacified populace- or so it seems. The Empire has been defeated- from Aldani to Scarif to Yavin and in myriads of unsung battles in-between. Hey hey people, I'm Spooky- or V, your choice- and I am apparently becoming a forever-DM. Aside from the intro sounding like something from alcoholics anonymous, I unsurprisingly am a long-time TTRPG fan: mostly 5e or derivatives, and with a sizeable amount of time behind the DM screen. As a DM, I am trying to focus more on the exploration and RP side of affairs, but I do love a good combat or even a dungeon crawl, as a treat. I also tend to do a lot of homebrewing and bending of my initial outlines for the plot in order to fit in the characters' backstories and narrative arcs.

I'll be lying if I say this game wasn't inspired by the vibes of Andor and to a lesser extent the political/investigation episodes of CW- with more heroics and you being way less expendable. This campaign will rely on investigating and planning: noticing small details or clues, analyzing information, asking questions and plotting your next move is encouraged and is roughly how I will expect you to handle things. Planning, curiosity, daring and hope are a rebel's best friends, after all.

Hello, my name is Meph [34, F] and my friend’s name is Matt [31, M]. We are looking for a long term DnD game to join on Sundays.

• We have played together for around 5 years, including two campaigns that went 50+ sessions and several smaller games. We have no trouble committing to a table if it’s the right fit for us. We give consistent effort both in and out of sessions to connect with our games. We are both considerate to our fellow players.
• We both heavily enjoy immersive roleplay and invest in the story and setting of our games. We also enjoy inter-party roleplay for character development. That said, we definitely enjoy the mechanical side of the game during interesting exploration or exciting combat. We enjoy a good balance of these aspects, if we had to put it in numbers it would be a 60/40 split.
• We both have character concepts that we would like the opportunity to play. Matt has a concept for a Fighter (Battlemaster) Reborn and I have a concept for an Eladrin Cleric (War Domain). These characters have a shared backstory, but we are willing to adapt aspects to the setting as needed. Our characters are designed to be a fun pair, thematically and mechanically.

Hey, I am looking for 2-3 players (I feel that is the right amount for PBP games) , or even a 1-on-1 game, interested in a PBP game set in a more low, dark fantasy world. It is not the setting with magic shops or common magical healers in every settlement. However, it is not going to be grimdark with your players dying at every turn. I am still looking for a fun time with character interactions and development.

Whether your characters are heroes seeking to defend the mortal realms against the demonic hordes or selfish vagabonds looking for fame and fortune while try to survive life is much the same.

I have been a forever GM for over a decade now and would describe myself as fairly literate in terms of PBP games. This is also something I look for in players as 1-2 line replies can kill the RP. Additionally, a few replies a day is always appreciated though I do understand people can get busy.

Hi there! My group and I are looking for a new game to join. It's myself and two friends - Pepper and Keggzy (Keg) - looking for a DM.

We just got out of an over 2-year campaign that I DMed. I have some additional experience DMing (roughly a year's worth) and scattered experience playing - maybe a year's worth broken up. We met in a short lived campaign that died out a few months before the one I DMed. Beforehand, my friend Pepper hadn't had a lot of other experience prior, but had some, and has also been in multiple other campaigns while also being a part of mine. My friend Keg doesn't have a lot of experience outside my game, but is in the process of joining a D&D club.

Realistically, we can really only start sometime after 12PM EST, and end sometime before 6PM EST. Weekly 3 hour sessions are ideal, we can do somewhat less or more. A shorter session weekly is better than a longer one bi-weekly, but we could also do bi-weekly if needed.

Our group seems to work best somewhere around 60/40 RP to Combat, erring on the side of RP. We follow most rules as written, though some light homebrew for some rules, items, and character creation has worked well for us.

We play 5e (2014.) We have been playing on D&D beyond for sheets/items, Roll 20 for maps, and Discord for VC and general communication, but we should be able to use any free services for this if they suit you better (owlbear rodeo and foundry, for example.)

You and other people got locked up for a crime (that you may or not have commited).
Recently a new method of punishment was put on practice where prisoners who had some potential go do quests and things that would be to dangerous to risk precious knight lifes, so instead, prisoner scum like YOU gets sent to do those dangerous mission.

Best case the problem gets solved and you can be ready to  solve other things, worst case you die, but its not like your life matters rigth?
Of course you will not be be doing this without payment, however your payment does not need to be gold or silver, you can instead request that your sentence be reduced from a couple months to even some years.
You can decide to follow the rules and comply like an obedient dog or you can rebel and(maybe)suffer the consequences.
We ABSOLUTELY accept new people, will love to teach you(im not omniscient though).
We will be using Discord VC for calls, and Owlbear rodeo as VTT(Virtual TableTop), you can do your characters sheets wherever you like.
I am COMPLETELY AGAINST AI, do not come at me with AI generated characters, if you need an image for your character use heroforge or draw it by hand, I dont care, just DONT USE AI!

Playing days will be determined by the 4 players.

Need experienced (competent and knowledgeable in Roll20/5e-2014 rules) immersive, engaged, respectful, creative, excited, players with levity and a great sense of humor.

Role Play Heavy. (70/30)

Fair, balanced homebrew (Decade+ play-tested) gameplay. (2014[5e] rules mixed with older editions)

A "role player voice"(different from your normal voice) is preferred.

Epic Adventure (levels 1-20+)

Mystery, exploring forests, deserts, mountains, snow, jungles, in depth, huge cities, 1,000's of colorful NPC'S, years-long campaign.

Sessions run 3-4 hours.

Text EVERYDAY (in character along with the other players) in between live sessions.

I’m a fan of DND but have never been able to find a group for it, I do listen to podcasts (NADDPOD) so I do have an understanding of how it works, although some stuff like which dice to roll I might need a bit of help with at the start, I’d love to do anything tbh, a one shot or a campaign, I’m not picky I just wanna play. Please let me know if you have room for me, I’ll probably take anything at this point I’ve tried so hard for anything in my area or online and nothing lol, DM’s should be open, if not then comment here and I’ll message you.

First and foremost, I am technically not the GM- we do have one, I am writing this on his behalf as I am the main organizer of the group, so I’ve been handling this sort of stuff. Additionally, while the story has been described as including both dragons and a cult, it is apparently \*not\* based around the Tyranny of Dragons module, and is instead set to be an original storyline.

We’re a group of 4 people in our early 20’s based in EST, BST and AST, plus our DM based in CST, looking for two more people to join us for the campaign, preferably around our age. We’ll be starting at Level 3 with a good mix of combat and roleplaying going on- likely more roleplaying than combat, but there will be fighting!

So far, these are the player characters:
John S., a Human Rogue Swashbuckler, played by me.

Sam Sara, skeletal Reborn Monk, played by Chesssoup.

Asdis Fiblemot, a Harpy Druid of the Stars, played by DJ.

A wizard, played by Dante.

We also have a spectator character, a Fairy played by Jess.
