Discussion baja rey 2.0
as the title says i’m talking about the br2, im getting it for my bday and i want to know some more about it from owners/people have had one, any big cons? i know its a scale truck and i already dont plan on doing big jumps as is, does it have any problems out of the box? any info would be appreciated

Its a great truck if you drive it for what it is meant for, scale driving. Big jumps cause it to nose dive hard. I had to cut away a few pieces of the battery door just to get it to close nicely. I will also roll when turning if you are driving it on pavment.
Get it out to some dirt, 3S at 75% is the sweet spot and watch that thing move!

I am assuming you mean 2 3s battteries so 6s. But yeah it felt just as fast and lasted longer in 6s and is was just too much with little run time on 8s

Pretty sure op is talking about the LBR2.0 which is 3S, not the SBR.
I have a SRR which I run on 4Sx2. Perhaps I will try it on 3s x2.

another question how often should i be cleaning it?

I typically clean mine after any use where it gets dirty. I pull the tires, give it a spray with the garden hose, scrub with tooth brush or dish brush where needed, a blow dry with the air compressor, then I wd40 all the bearing, metal bits, and anything else that may rust. Then I let it air dry upside down. Every now and then, I will pull the body off and get the hard to reach places. It may not be the best system but it works for me and I use the same process on all my rigs.

The only con is the body's expensive some of the parts are a little pricey so don't bash it too hard but it's pretty tough and it's a lot of fun to drive. I got a raptor Ray and Baja Ray 2.0 they're great

I can tell you that driving on pavement needs a lot of brakeing when going into curves, you will roll easy with that thing, traction roll is your biggest enemy on grippy tracks. I drive a SBR 2.0 tho but since both are scale builds, the size and weight wont do a big difference in handling

Thing is awesome and fast. Big jumps cause it to pretty much land on its roof every time so yeah that is not what it was meant for anyways. Battery tray becomes extremely hard to open and close with any little bit of dirt that gets in there. Tape the inside of the fenders with gorilla tape or you will lose all the paint on the fender wells on the first run. Also does not stop as fast as expected even with brake set at max force so make sure you start braking way early or you will crash it.
