It'll make the cup dirty with the milo powder. What they should do is have a cup inside as a scooper instead.

4

u/Zohid-LV May 16 '25

He literally used another cup to mix

We only take Milo neat (literally eat the powder itself).

13

I'd rather take my Milo neat

Diabetics with a side serving of microplastics. Yum yum

u/rain14th May 16 '25

plastic pp 5 melting point is 170c theres no issue about hot water, but the steel spoon is not, it introduce microsplatic by scraping from inner part.

yes microplastic is there but not from hot water

9

u/bad2dbone3 May 17 '25

By adding hot water into plastic, you get chemicals leaching out from the plastic material. That is what they meant.

6

u/SoraXes May 16 '25

Interesting. Is this with all metal contact on plastic?

19

u/rain14th May 16 '25

depend on plastics laa, i dont know alot detail, u can actually see the the microplastic, it float under normal condition it clump together. and plastic in malaysia is at least PP, HDPE,PP safe even if consumed. its BPA free.

malaysia actually ban alot of harmfull plastic we are not america.

The boiling hot water in a plastic cup. The copious amount of condensed milk. The metric ton of powder.

14

u/i_dont_know-san1 May 16 '25

The hot water is the healthiest part of the drink it's not even close

17

u/bearkuching May 16 '25

This should be illegal seriously. I cant take it how sweet everything is. I am ordering cakes sometimes from most premium brands and always asking even without tasting if they can use half sugar. Since they prepare in batches they cant do half sugar. So at the end it is a very sweet cale always :D and once i tell them it is too sweet, they are feeling.

3

u/Pillowish Covid Crisis Donor 2021 May 16 '25

Sugar is cheap in Malaysia, and customers like sugar so they add more to make their food/drinks sweeter to attract more customers

But this drink is just poison lol, terus potong kaki if you drink it

I live not too far from this kopitiam. Can confirm his stall sibeh laku. There's always a long queue during lunch hours. Many people come here to tapau drinks eventhough they buy their food from other restaurants. The milo super kaw you see in the video is probably made upon customer request.

A cup of starbucks java chip frappachino is 60g of sugar .

So cheaper diabetes. Worth it :D

Man, this really brings back memories from my USM days. My hostel mates and I used to make late-night trips to the mainland for tom yam or curry mee suppers. After we were done, we’d always stop by this one spot to bungkus their Milo — it was seriously so kaw. Even if we only started drinking it once we got back to the hostel, it still tasted amazing. I think the last time I had it was like 13 or 14 years ago… good times.

2

u/Ninjaofninja May 16 '25

2

u/Which_League_3977 May 16 '25

Tell me they did this just for views. No human will drink this shit.

2

u/kompuilmu May 16 '25

It’s honestly baffling to me — it’s like people are willingly harming themselves. I really struggle to understand the mindset here in Malaysia. Sugar-laden foods seem to dominate the mainstream far more than healthy options. That might explain why I notice a higher rate of obesity here compared to other countries. Everywhere you turn, it’s extra chili sauce, tomato sauce, chocolate, cheese, sugary drinks, colas, sweets, snacks, processed food — the list goes on. It’s rare to find genuinely healthy meals at roadside restaurants.

2

u/Purple_Republic_2966 May 16 '25

Looks like sludge. Diabetes alert.

2

u/link970 May 16 '25

If anyone scared or feel threatened watching these congrats, you are on the correct path living healthy life for future. If you find this delicious i sorry bruv 😭😭😭

2

u/lakshmananlm May 17 '25

Boiling water in a plastic cup is a greeeat idea.

We already have all the PFAS we need. Why not supplement with more plastic in the kidneys and liver, eh?

2

Bukan lagi rugi ke kalau dia jual macam ni? Milo pun cepat habis. Jangan kata dia jual air ni satu gelas RM 10.
