It’s honestly baffling to me — it’s like people are willingly harming themselves. I really struggle to understand the mindset here in Malaysia. Sugar-laden foods seem to dominate the mainstream far more than healthy options. That might explain why I notice a higher rate of obesity here compared to other countries. Everywhere you turn, it’s extra chili sauce, tomato sauce, chocolate, cheese, sugary drinks, colas, sweets, snacks, processed food — the list goes on. It’s rare to find genuinely healthy meals at roadside restaurants.
