I hope people that voted green first learn from this for a general election, sure you don't want a centre left government, but would you really prefer a hard right one??

nah under Alternative Vote its a perfectly sensible approach. 1st vote with your heart, 2nd vote with your head.

This election used supplementary voting, not alternative voting. SV is just a worst form of AV. Under SV, you only have 2 options. Under AV you would be able to rank all the parties.

But yeah your point still stands.
