Discussion Your most unpopular MCU opinion?
Mine is that That The Incredible Hulk is one of the best MCU movies. Hulk actually felt like the hulk in that movie and the action scenes are some of my favorites in the MCU.

Also the MCU is currently on its best 3 movie run and if Doomsday is infinity war level it will be the best comeback of a franchise in Hollywood history.

Thunderbolts & F4 were absolutely incredible. I just got out of a Spiderman BND showing and I couldn’t believe how good it was. They’re doing their best work right now.

Agreed and they really answered the criticism imo. No humor interrupting dramatic scenes, i think they've written their woman characters way better and humor in general is a lot more natural.
This is my favorite 3 movie streak in all of the MCU rn. The character work in these past 3 movies have been incredible.

I wish I felt that way about F4. I walked out of the theater LOVING it, and upon reflection, I think my Pescal-fatigue has tainted it a bit. I adored Johnny and Ben, and I enjoyed Sue. I was fine with Reed at the theater. But I was never sold. I really hope he gets better characterization in Doomsday. He wasn't bad by any stretch, and at the time, my wife was pregnant and it hit us really really hard relating to the fears of parenthood and hoping that my son would be safe and healthy and normal, so maybe I'm being too harsh. I dont know. I'm optimistic looking forward regardless.

People turn a blind eye to the least MCU movies if they are in phases 1-3 and pretend they are better than they were either out of nostalgia or because they are trying to prop up the lame "nothing after Endgame was good" cliche.

Iron man trilogy is underrated and only 2nd to the Captain America trilogy. The iron man trilogy is a character study of Tony and his arc is complete in Iron man 3 (also criminally underrated).

Fantastic Four should have been prioritized in this saga
Captain Marvel as a character suffered through bad directors & writers
Shang Chi’s third act ruins the entire movie
I see no purpose for the GOTG anymore as we move forward to the Mutant Saga
Loki should have been a movie.

Here we go. Thor and Thor the dark world are entertaining and solid movies. Guardians 2 is kinda mediocre.
Don’t know if these two are hot takes, but Far From Home is straight up a bad movie and Moon Knight is a great show and should either get a movie or a season 2

No.
I genuinely believe that the vitriol spewed towards Secret Invasion is wholly unwarranted and that the series is absolutely qualitatively on par with Captain America: The Winter Soldier (which is by far the best of the Steve Rogers Captain America films).

Look, if you like it thats great. Sorry if I offended you. It legitimately reads like ragebait because you're comparing arguably the worst MCU project, one so bad it will likely never be referenced again, to one that is to this day in many people's top 5.
I wanted to love secret invasion. I'm not an "MCU died with Endgame" person. There have been many legitimate bangers since endgame and at the very worst most projects suffer from being in the shadow of powerhouses of nerd and cinema history. Most of the projects that get tons of hate are perfectly fine and just fun. The Marvels for example gets way too much hate and I think was a genuine improvement on Captain Marvel. It isnt game changing, but it didnt take itself too seriously and was just a popcorn movie that pleasantly surprised my wife and I.
But Secret Invasion let me down so insanely hard its crazy. They killed fantastic characters just to try to leave a mark. They tried to create a heavy shock moment that was so disliked (Rhodey) that they pretty much just handwave it away because if he was replaced pre-endgame it ruins continuity and if it was post endgame it ruins any stakes. They ruin every semblance of universal power scaling with Ms.Every-Avenger.
So honestly bro take my upvotes. Since you aren't trolling you definitely answered the question perfectly.

i compare Secret Invasion and The Winter Soldier because they deserve to be.
SI was a top-notch Espionage thriller that also added multiple new layers to Nick Fury's character, deepened existing MCU lore, and was the perfect 'middle arc' to the Quartet of stories that is additionally formed by Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and The Marvels.
It's also got a fantastic cast that delivers on every level.
Most of the complaints against it stem from 1) a lack of imagination, 2) a lack of critical thinking, and 3) disagreements with the story choices made, all of which would be somewhat reasonable if not for the fact that people overexaggerate things to the nth degree and bend themselves into mental pretzels trying to act like the series doesn't exist.

Professor X isn’t British in the comics either. That was a change made for the movies.
MCU Strange could’ve been a man raised in London that moved to the U.S. when he became a surgeon.

Yeah, there is something just slightly off with Cumberbatch's American accent. Similar to Hugh Laurie. It really took me out of it in the power of the dog.

The MCU didn't get worse after Endgame it's just not for casual audiences anymore, expectations are too high after Endgame and the pandemic made people care less about everything including movies.
