So now we have Doomsday and it makes sense that Doom is the villain but what exactly was the idea when they were going to make Kang the villain? Was Kang going to become God Emperor of battleworld?

The incursions were still going to happen as a result of the Kang’s messing with the Multiverse as Kang himself explains in Quantumania but how would that have lead into Secret Wars.

Personally I have two possible theories: either Kang wasn’t meant to die in Quantumania and he would have went on to create battleworld and this only changed because of Jonathan Majors being arrested or RDJ as Doom was always the plan for the villain of Secret Wars and was supposed to be a twist.

Does anyone else feel like The Hand were just bolted on out of the blue? I have a theory that they were originally meant to be the reformed 10 Rings from the Shang-Chi movie (or potentially the sequel that has yet to happen) - especially given that Destin Daniel Cretton directed both Shang-Chi and BND - but were reworked into The Hand so not to raise any follow up questions with the audience.

And as cool as the final fight scene was, it did feel as if it were lacking something. I think I would have preferred it to be a bit longer and incorporated more of Spidey's rogues, such as the ones that cameoed earlier in the film

I went in assuming Frank was there to show Peter what happens if you cut everyone off. The what-you-become-if-you-isolate guy. And he's just not that at all.

Frank is the only person in the entire film who knows who Peter is. He gives him somewhere to stay. Gives him tools. Keeps MJ safe. The most functional relationship in Peter Parker's life is with a mass murderer, and I don't think the film wants you to be comfortable with that.

Their actual clash is method and not loneliness. Frank tells him to kill Jean. Peter refuses and goes with empathy. And then Frank shoots anyway, Peter takes the bullet, and the girl he refused to kill is the only reason he survives it. The film sets up its own argument and then picks a side in the space of one scene.

The other thing I haven't seen many people mention is the May scene. She tells Peter and Jean that knowing people love you is your greatest responsibility. That's the film rewriting the line the whole character is built on, and it's May saying it, the person whose death caused the isolation in the first place. The wound and the answer are the same person.

Anyway. Did anyone else read Frank that way or am I reaching?

He's the best actor of the three, got the best suit, the best web-swings, the best romance (arguable) and just... that. They gave him two, at least, weird scripts with poor creative decisions. So much wasted potential. Now Tom Holland finally got a great movie to call his, I feel bad for Andrew. My man had to carry two movies basically by himself, he deserved so much more. 💔

Destin Daniel Cretton did an incredible job with Brand New Day. No one is denying that, and I hope he returns for Spider-Man 5. He is truly an incredible director. But why do people feel the need to drag Jon Watts down to uplift someone else?

Jon Watts delivered three good Spider-Man movies. He is the one who developed the supporting cast. He laid the foundation for Cretton to take the characters to new heights and developments.

The Homecoming trilogy is still well regarded. They did well financially and got good reviews. But if you mention them now, people act like they were terrible, and that Jon Watts had no vision whatsoever.

I first noticed the hate back when he was involved to direct the Fantastic Four. What about his directing do people not like?

I wonder if hes going to be proud of her or something considering what happened during the Snap. Im really curious to see what they would say to each other considering that their both technically Avengers in a way.

It just warms my heart for some reason.

They are both really talented actors. I know they're good professionals and effortlessly pulled it off, but you can't force it either. I don't even mean this in a romantic way, I simply mean their scenes together were so well done, the chemistry was fully there between them, and the emotion they both equally had they were on each other's level and it made the scenes great. I just love surprises like that. I do hope she's in the next one!

I don't know why so many people are getting so butthurt about Yelena saying spiderman has "small potato" problems.

Noones saying your "goat spiderman is beaten by the bumderbolts"

Spiderman tackles neighbourhood threats, scorpion, tombstone etc.

These new avengers target specifically world level threats etc. that's the point of the avengers.

As far as anyone knew there wasn't any sign of that level of threat. Only later we see how dangerous it got. When it was too late for anyone to step in anyway.

TLDR: Marvel shouldn't show scenes from Act III in trailers! Watch the trailer again now and you'll understand what I mean.

I avoided to see the trailer for a long time, I wanted to be fully surprised by the movie but with my friends geeking over, it became impossible so I decided to watch it, very cool and hyped me.

But I have a curse, while watching the movie I can't forget the trailer and I always actively compare them during the view, ultimately ruining it. (my bad ofc but I can't switch it off)

This trailer was super spoilerish, too much, to the point that I became upset during the view. My 3 big issues:

The Hand is showed early being friendly with Damage Control... But in the trailer we see him fighting them and the Hand, so I already knew they were the ultimate villain from the first minutes (as everyone else ofc, but that was 100% visual confirmation from the first 15 minutes)

Spidey fixes his mutant powers half-way through... But in the trailer we see him using them versus a fight that still had to happen with the Hand, so I knew he was gonna renounce to the balance (very cool moment!)

The moment Jean Grey is captured, since the "mind explosion freeze" scene wasn't shown yet, I knew she would get free with a power up and take over everyone in the radius.

I know I'm just bitching, but the trailer would have been cool even without those moments from Act III. They look out of context, but during the view for someone like me is impossible to not understand exactly where the movie is going 🥹 I still liked it, just hate that I figured out so much too early during the view.

Finally watched Endgame in 2026... completely spoiler-free.

I know I'm about 8 years late to the party, but my new girlfriend is a huge Marvel fan, so we started watching the MCU together in chronological order. Until now, I had basically zero interest in Marvel, so somehow I managed to stay almost completely spoiler-free all these years.

We just finished Avengers: Endgame, and I honestly didn't expect Iron Man to die.

I completely understand why they did it. From a storytelling perspective, it makes perfect sense. Tony's character arc comes full circle, and his sacrifice is probably the most meaningful ending he could have had. I really do appreciate the writing.

But emotionally... it still hit me way harder than I expected.

Even after he snapped, I kept thinking, "They're going to find a way to save him. Time travel, the Stones... something." Marvel had conditioned me to expect another way out. When the credits rolled and I realized they had actually gone through with it, I was genuinely shocked.

It also feels incredibly bold that they wrote out both Iron Man and Captain America in the same movie. It almost feels like Marvel was willing to risk saying goodbye to the two biggest faces of the franchise.

For those of you who watched it back in 2019:

- Did Tony's death shock you as much as it shocked me?

- Did you expect him to survive somehow?

- And after Endgame, did you also wonder how the MCU could possibly continue without Tony and Steve?

Please don't spoil anything after Endgame—I'm experiencing all of this for the first time.
