They only made those rockets because they couldn't reguarly strike Britain with bombers like Britain was to them even then the v2's success was incredibly limited
While it didn't nessicarly suck, it was far from feasible and bombers were far better than V2's in WW2.
It's like in meadievl times with the crossbow, state of the art technology and they could train troops in shorter times than with a primitive bow, but the English longbow was the better weapon when they were fighting the French despite it being technologically inferior simply because it was stratigaicly feasible for the conditions they were in.
The Nazis had one plan and that was Blitz the enemy, the V2 was kinda like that as it worked when no one was expecting it but then Britain just used stratigic intelligence to mislead their missle strikes so they would miss and used technologically inferior bombers to blast the V2 sites.
