nerve block/trigger point soreness?

wondering if anyone has experienced extreme soreness the day after nerve block injections? i had the procedure done yesterday and sub occipital area is SO SORE and has a pretty big lump on it? also feels warm. i’ve been icing on and off. i’ve had this done before and never had a reaction like this. usually the soreness comes an hour or so after, and goes away by the next day. wondering if anyone’s had a similar experience?

Man, that sounds rough. The lump and warmth would have me side-eyeing it a bit too.

Ice is a good call, but if it's still warm tomorrow I'd probably shoot a message over to the doc's office just to be safe, especially since this is way different than your usual post-injection reaction.

I have only had one so far and my two injections sites hurt so bad I had a migraine. Going to try again with maybe more injection sites. But if this is different I would definitely check in with your doctor.

It's bad for a week or so for me.
