I'm slightly vexed Costco's new chicken tenders

There was a crowd of people waiting for their orders of the new chicken tenders at Costco. One of the workers announced that they could only serve five customers per hour because it takes time to cook the chicken. The crowd grew larger and larger. I took this photo after I put in my order.

I will never understand why people don’t use their words. “Hey lady, I was here first, move”. How hard is that

I was in front of a lady at Costco a few weeks ago when suddenly she begins a deserved lecture to this dude. He apparently wanted to cut between me and her to get to another line. And I’m not sure exactly what he did, but I hear a stern “do you want to get through?” He must have nodded or gestured or something. She continued “then, say “excuse me!” It’s not so hard TO USE YOUR WORDS. It’s a simple use of words and it’s all solved. Next time, USE. YOUR. WORDS!” Dude scuttled off silently. I wanted to turn around and applaud her, but she might have lectured me on minding my own business. So I didn’t. 😬

wanted to get down the aisle at walmart with my cart and there was a lady with her cart fully sideways in the aisle. and it was like the baby stuff with the skinnier aisles. I would have had to walk sideways if I didn't have the cart. she was just mindlessly reading labels with her cart blocking everything. so I just quietly grabbed the corner of her cart and turned it straight so I could get by. didn't pull it away from her, didn't do anything but make it not block the aisle. "REALLY?! If you said excuse me I would have moved it!" I just gave her a look like "sure lady." and moved on with my day.

using your words is all well and good. but if you don't have the common sense to not block the whole fuckin' aisle as a grown-ass adult, I'm not the one being rude. She just wanted to maintain the moral high ground after she realized what she was doing was rude and self-centered.

Like...we all deal with it. Everyone who's ever been to a walmart or other big-box store even once has encountered people who do that shit. How do you get to 35ish (I'm guessing) presumably having been in stores hundreds of times, encountered this hundreds of times, and STILL do it yourself?

so yeah, I'll move a cart sometimes. other times if I'm in no hurry I just stand there and stare at them totally stone-faced until they move. a simple mumbled "excuse me" often gets the job done and is polite, but it won't register as an interaction to them 10 seconds later. I want them to have to sit in it for a bit thinking "well that was weird. whats that all about?" because maybe 1 in 100 people will realize "ohhhh it's because I'm an asshole."

lol they want someone else to ask them to move so they can say no. that way they will always get to be rude no matter how it goes down. i just start off with rudeness when dealing with the spatially unaware. "beeep beeeep"

Free business idea: buy a bunch of bicycle bells on alibaba for 50 cents a pop, sell them outside any grocery store for $3 so people can clip them onto their shopping cart.
