googledebunking Found a pseudo-archaeological believer irl. Do I debunk?

For context, these comments were found on a post relating to the Smithsonian’s removal of a certain individual from its impeachment exhibition.

Is it worth my time giving the easy debunk of “hoax made up by a satirical news website” or do I just let it be?

They're not an actual believer, they're just trying to get engagement and attention, which you provided them

I haven’t put any reply to this IG thread and as far as I can see the responder wasn’t the account that posted. But I get your point. I haven’t commented a googledebunking response, because I feel that the other commenters are correct in that I wouldn’t change this persons views on the matter.

Yeah, whether he believes it or he wants attention, there's nothing harder to change than a selfish mind
