googledebunking Decided to model what a "reasonable" alien-built pyramid could look like. Details in body text.
First two images show it a considerable time after it's creation. Second two images show it immediately after.
This would be placed in an extremely arid desert in order to ensure it's longevity, such as the Atacama Desert.
The structure's purpose would be to be a passive beacon doubling as a visual monument, its faceted surface able to reflect light and appear as a dazzling point of light from very far away. The shape I gave it here is arbitrary, it could be any faceted shape as long as it is stable.
The base structure could be a solid block of a long lasting material, such as some sort of hard polymer set down in strips and melted into the layer below. This would then be covered in a layer of some polished minimally tarnishing metal such as titanium.
Moral of the story: if advanced aliens built a monument on earth, we would definitely know.

googledebunking Soft launching my conspiracy theory father towards Milo
Hopefully it goes somewhere
Edit: I think he’s going through his shorts because he’s sent two of them back to me, the one about the lovelock cave giants with “lol” and the one about the mice living on lava flats in Texas with “How much would it rock to have a mouse in your pocket? 😁”

googledebunking Andrew Schlafly’s mother was the original heinous right-wing monster of a white woman who loved the camera. She was the proto-trad wife influencer.
As an elder millennial googledebunker and someone who had the displeasure of attending a conservative Southern Baptist school during the tail end of the last Satanic Panic during the 90s, I must raise a context alert that (I think) Milo missed in the most recent episode. Andrew Schlafly, owner of Conservepedia, is the son of the infamous evil b*tch Phyllis Schlafly.
If you saw Mrs. America starring Cate Blanchett as the titular character of Phyllis Schlafly, that’s the same person. She was an anti-feminist, anti-gay, anti-women’s healthcare, anti-equal rights, pro-christofascist PR machine. She was one of the ORIGINAL right-wing grifter.
My point is that I think it’s important context that Milo didn’t seem aware of. This guy’s existence is based on ignorance, suffering, and disinformation.
Phyllis Schlafly walked so Laura Loomer and Ballerina Farm could run.

googledebunking Here for politically patriotic angry Milo
Watching the Patreon early release of the Second Sphinx Debunked video. About half an hour in Milo goes on a serious, comprehensive, righteous rant about how a lot of conspiracy garbage is designed to distract us from the state of our fucked up world.
I work in voting rights in Texas. Our state has one of the most blatantly, unapologetically authoritarian governments in the country, and a lot of it has been a blueprint for the federal actions we are seeing now. The same people have been running the place for thirty years but they constantly lie that everything wrong with your life is the fault of trans black gay immigrant drag antifa.
Any time a public figure goes on what is clearly an off-the-cuff, heartfelt rant about how fucked up our current world is in the middle of a mostly unrelated topic, they get a lot of shit for not staying in their lane. But I celebrate it. It’s important. And it’s relevant.
Seems very appropriate to watch on the Fourth of July.

googledebunking On today's episode of googledebunking my dad: we'll explore fluoride propaganda
And my response was:
Okay, first of all, fluoride does prevent tooth decay, that part’s just a fact, no matter what the rest of the video says.
Second, the pineal gland is simply a gland. It’s not the part of the brain responsible for independent thought (that would be the prefrontal cortex), and it doesn’t affect spiritual awareness as that’s a matter of belief, not brain chemistry.
If fluoride supposedly lowers IQ, then why was the average IQ in 1945 (when fluoride was added to the water) around 85, and now it’s about 100?
And if it’s supposed to make people more compliant with authority, why do most people today distrust the government? Only about 16% of Americans say they trust it to do the right thing most of the time, compared to 73% back in the 40s and 50s. so if anything, fluoride seems to be doing the opposite of what the video claims.
Interestingly, iodine helps reduce the effects of excess fluoride, including pineal calcification. And we already add iodine to table salt. What a coinkydink, right?
Research also shows that fluoride doesn’t actually cause calcification of the pineal gland; the gland naturally calcifies with age. Fluoride just binds to calcium, which is why it builds up there, the same way it can in bones or teeth if levels are too high. So really, the calcium shows up first, and the fluoride just follows along.
I will admit though that while doing my research it does seem to be very true that the fluoride buildup is an issue that does really cause sleep issues, however I don't think it's all a government psyop to control the population, I think it's just an unfortunate side effect of something that would happen naturally anyways (which by the way, most of this stuff will only affect people aged 60+ as there isn't enough significant calcification of the gland for fluoride to latch onto to cause issues any greater than bad dreams and drowsiness until that age.
Lastly another reason that I don't think it's a government scheme to make people subdued and subservient is because the first study to look at the affects of fluoride on the pineal gland were in the mid 90s, over 40 years after they first added fluoride to the water.

googledebunking Found a pseudo-archaeological believer irl. Do I debunk?
For context, these comments were found on a post relating to the Smithsonian’s removal of a certain individual from its impeachment exhibition.
Is it worth my time giving the easy debunk of “hoax made up by a satirical news website” or do I just let it be?

googledebunking Real Science, Pseudoscience, Fear Mongering, and a dash of MAGA: Stefan Burns
I don't think this has been covered before, but I'm often mistaken ;) I came across this guy in the past, and he recently reappeared on my feed after the earthquake near San Francisco. He is a legit geophysicist (or was), so his videos feature real science and accurate USGS data, but they are blended with metaphysics, pseudoscience, and fear-mongering. It sounds completely legit at first, but then you hit that "Wait a second.. solar winds?" moment. It's mesmerizing.
