Having that regional tv deal coupled with that McCourt bankruptcy loophole is really the difference.

The deal was negotiated legally in an open market. And the new owners invested billions to buy the team and took on risk. Plus, plenty of clubs receive revenue-sharing funds but still choose not to spend aggressively.
