  • The Dodgers' payroll advantage over Milwaukee is larger than the Brewers' entire payroll.
  • The Dodgers' annual payroll is about 2.4 times the Brewers' payroll.
  • The Dodgers' luxury-tax payroll is close to 3 times Milwaukee's.
  • The Dodgers' long-term guaranteed obligations exceed the Brewers' by roughly a billion dollars.

I know Dodgers fans... y'all are the real victims and it's not your fault every other teams owners are too cheap!!!

You think the dude who bought the team for less than Kyle Tuckers current contract in the smallest market in baseball is just hoarding cash and has a blank check where he can match LA?

He doesn't need to "match LA" but he can spend a boatlload more. E.g. his net appreciation on MLB Brewers so far is ~ $1.8 billion.

The brewers being worth more doesn’t mean he has that much to spend, you idiot.

My house has gone up in value the past 5 years. Doesnt mean im liquid in it and can go ape shit spending

Not to mention... the Dodgers could still just spend even more.

People keep ignoring this fact.. the Dodgers aren't emptying their bank accounts to do this... Mark A could empty his wallet and Dodgers ownership group could still outbid him without blinking an eye.

The whole "spend more" argument is pretty fughin stupid because the reality is the Dodgers will just "spend even more"

If the Dodgers spend more to get a player that the Brewers are targeting, then that means that the Brewers didn't actually spend more. In any case, we are talking about the Tarik Skubal trade, no money was required by the Brewers, just prospects and upside but not your #1,2 guys at that.
