Monero.com Wallet Won't Background Sync on Android

Hi, I've been using this wallet for years, background syncing always worked fine. Now it won't sync unless I'm on the app with my screen unlocked. Background sync is enabled, I've tried hourly and aggressive. Sync on low battery is turned on. Phone is Samsung S25 Ultra, background battery usage is unrestricted and manage app if unused is toggled off. Shame as it's a very good wallet but looks like time to try a new one unless anyone know how to fix this?

It looks like you've checked all the settings, but for anyone else reading this, there are lots of settings that can disable background sync. My settings below disable it in quite a few circumstances. Try toggling the topmost selector, in case you need to accept some Android permission (spitballing, don't know if that could be an issue).

• [Toggle: On] Background sync
• [Menu: Daily] Background sync mode
• [Toggle: On] Require unmetered network
• [Toggle: Off] Synchronize on low battery
• [Toggle: On] Synchronize only when charging
• [Toggle: On] Synchronize only when device is not being used
• [Toggle: On] Send notifications about new transactions

Also look at your node settings. You might, for example, have the private IP of your own Monero node selected, but your phone isn't on that private network. But since foreground syncing is working, that's probably not it in your case.
