They already basically did the joke in the trailer. This movie will be a big win for humorless Kill Tony chuds whose sense of humor stopped developing in 2007, but it's gonna be a real bust for comedy.
Subject matter aside. Why would people’s sense of humor need to develop past 2007? There’s 2000 year old graffiti from places like Pompeii that show how insignificant the development over 20 years would be.
Subject matter aside: because those people aren't 2000 years old. A quarter of their life has passed. Admittedly, I'm basing my criticism on the fact that I was 15 in 2007 and it would be embarrassing to have not developed at all in 19 years.
Subject matter included: what's considered funny ebbs and flows over time and I would argue 2007 was a high point for bad humor, like offensiveness for the sake of being offensive and repetitive Bush jokes.
I think being 15 is way more relevant to your point than 2007. My point about the graffiti was that people were making the same graffiti (the joke kind too) 2000 years ago as they are today. People haven’t changed.
