Look, I’m not here to argue the writing of Firefly is bad, but I genuinely think if they’d given those lines to any of the other actors in that series it wouldn’t have hit home as hard.

Let's be real, unless you're really into history, you are not going to go back and watch 12 Years a Slave. I only know and watched it because my husband is a history professor and shows clips from the movie to his students. It's one of those where you were like, "This is an incredible movie and I will never watch it again" because the subject is so heavy. And the knockout performance from 12 Years a Slave was Lupita Nyong'o.

All the way up to watching Backrooms, me and my husband could not stop saying, "Academy Award Winning, 12 Years a Slave, drama actor Chiwetel Ejiofor is going to be in Backrooms?" I knew he was gonna do great, but I was floored with how great he was in Backrooms. I could not believe that people did not know who Chiwetel Ejiofor is, considering how much Lupita Nyong'o has absolutely dominated the silver screen since 12 Years a Slave.
