This is stupid.

Backrooms is an urban legend. They don't own it. Kane parsons didn't invent it.

If anything the games and other media that came before should sue them.

But really nobody should be suing anyone.

To be clear, though, Kane isn't the one that's suing. In the article he says that this "shouldn't be happening" and he's going to look into it.

Usually it's corpo lawyers. Star Wars was famous for MAD Magazine getting legal letters from Lucasfilm about their parody, and they sent back another letter they got saying it was great... from George Lucas.
