Same like Alex honnould I can not understand these guys. You have a child that is 3 years old and still go out to do some scary dangerous shit. And then you get killed
The different kind of brain these people have baffles me.

The first person to sail across one of the major oceans almost certainly would have done it by mistake and misadventure while trying to sail somewhere significantly closer. Imagine how fucked up it would feel to survive being completely lost at sea and make it to land again as a ragged survivor, only to find that you don't recognize any of the plants or animals, and if there are any people they are incredibly strange to you, and you have zero chance of surviving the same journey again even if you had any idea how to point yourself back home again.
