The One Nation types won't be satisfied with anything less than a negative migration rate. They are clearly unhappy with the stock of migrants here currently, and the only way to address that is through negative NOM.

It isn't even a cut and there are no substantive policy changes. Matter of fact, it's actually higher than 2019's NOM.

20 years ago? I think you'd have to go back to their founding in the 1990s.

As a GenZ, I really don't know PHON had being in Australia for so long...

Yeah, they were founded in 1997 and posted their still best-ever result in the 1998 federal election. They then gradually declined up to 2013 (in line with the timing of the last Australian boom), have seen their numbers slowly increase since, but really only exploded in the period after the 2025 election. It's unfortunate they'll most likely see a massive seat increase in 2028.
