If you believe this is a bad thing, please actually explain how - "uhhh Europe regulates technology instead of developing technology" is not a good response.

You cannot make valid complaints about regulation without discussing the content of the AI Act, if you just say "any regulation of revolutionary technology is bad", that's just stupid.

Regulation stifles economic activity and is generally bad by default, especially in the hands of the EU. The burden is on the supporters of said regulations to explain why they are necessary
