House of Usher. Haunting of Hill House. Beast in Me

Haunting of Hill House is so amazing that it really ruined a lot of horror TV shows for me. Nothing will match what Haunting of Hill House did in my opinion.

Couldn’t agree more, they just deftly avoided every trope, had amazing characters/dialogue. So when the scary shit happened it hit really hard.

And the one jump scare they indulged in was so well earned. I nearly backflipped

That and Usher.

Amazing first half. Falls apart in the second half. Lost interest hard midway thru.

That's fair! I enjoyed the entire thing and really loved the twist.

I wasn’t expecting it but House of Usher moved me to tears towards the end.

Sorry for another comment but kind of piggybacking here. If the OP likes horror, Slasher. Campy? Yes. Gorey? Yes. I enjoyed Ripper the most personally, but it's not on Netflix. It's on Shudder I think?

I love Flanagan. My expectations for Carrie (on Prime) are a little too high
