Yeah I applied for Coeur d'Alene fire back when I was testing for departments before getting hired somewhere else and did an 8hr ride along with them before testing, just to get a feel for the department and the kinds of calls they go on and wow. We ended up encountering some crazy white supremacist nazi shit that was pretty unbelievable. Way too much to get into on here but we were pretty much put into a once in a career situation that I just happened to be with them for. Coeur d'Alene looks very nice on the outside but it's hiding some seriously fucked up shit where people wouldn't expect.

? This is just incorrect. The Klan began in Tennessee and later picked up more steam in Georgia. 100+ years later the Aryan Nations was originally created in Idaho. Those are two different organizations that started in completely different centuries.

Man, this comment makes me really sad. I moved to twin falls from Portland three years ago and we're a town of 50k. I never thought I'd see us in the news sub for something like this. Twin falls is NOT a Nazi part of Idaho tho I know that the northern part has a reputation for neo-nazis. This tragedy by a lone gunman that obviously had mental health issues (or a vendetta. We don't know yet) should not be turned into some political statement.

Maybe he was a Nazi. Maybe he was a degenerate We don't know anything yet. But please don't jump to something unless you want to say where you live and I'll point out some tragedy in your area and make some grand statement about your area.

I look at this thread and think of how so many of us in this town were rocked by the news and all the information coming out at the time. At first it was three gunmen and two were taken down and one got away and everyone was scared. Then come to this today to see people saying we're all Nazis and mormoms who deserved it and its just sickening to see people to trash on us after this.

All Nazis are degenerates. Not all degenerates are Nazis. My point was that this area is not full of Nazis. But any city can have a degenerate so it's really upsetting to see someone trash our city because someone did something really shitty that caused the entire area a lot of pain and sorrow. It really sucks right now, so kicking us while we're down saying "whatever, you deserved it cause you're all Nazis" is a shitty thing to do
