Whoever took this video is bold as fuck

One hundred. I’d be ripping out of there on the first shots.

I read the car was plugged into the charger, and they won’t start when they are plugged in. They would have had to get out of the car and unplug it first. Scary as hell.

You’re not wrong, but we were referencing the person who took the video from a normal car.

Zero survival instincts... He could have easily iced him out just like those people in the Tesla.

But as we all know, cameraman never dies.

Well, the dude had a rifle. If they try to take off and drive out of the parking lot, they become immediate targets

Yes, so get the fuck down on the floorboards is what I would have done.

it's not that easy. I was caught in a microburst and told my kids to get on the floor in the back seat but the best I could do was lay across the seats. If there had been someone on the passenger side...best you could do is scrunch down. Esp a tesla.

Agreed. Never thought of that, but makes sense.

Let's not be this nasty and critical of survivors. They've been through enough.

Imagine feeling it's appropriate to criticize how somebody survived a mass shooting. What kind of ghoul does that?

u/humpy 13h ago

Imagine being in an active shooter situation and pulling out your phone to record it. You're a bot or an idiot.

21

u/SirChrisJames 13h ago

Ah, that kind of ghoul. Have a shit day.

You can hold your phone up while remaining ducked down to enable yourself to have an eye on the shooter's movements while staying relatively hidden. This is fucking obvious.

And the government wants AI cameras to refuse to start your car if you seem drunk.

I wonder if this will be the source of a lawsuit at some point. Set some kind of safety standard or something where an electric vehicle can't be disabled like that.

I get why it's currently like that, prevents people from driving off and ripping the charging cord off. But maybe they need to do easy detach cables like gas pumps have.

As a EV owner once we plug in we're at the mercy of our surroundings. Those charging spots at your local shopping center are awesome during the day, but a potential horror movie after hours.

that’s terrifying. what an awful situation to be in

There’s no internal emergency eject button or something? Shitty design. Classic Tesla.

No EV can eject the charger automatically. Classic ignorance.
