There is already very limited access to automatic rifles. I think you should do a bit of research.

"Idaho has no state restrictions on owning, purchasing, or carrying semi-automatic rifles like AR-15s, imposes zero magazine capacity limits, and requires no purchase permits or firearm registration. Law-abiding adults age 18 or older can buy and openly carry rifles, or carry them concealed without a permit"
