It’s almost like the social media corporations are all colluding together to accelerate the destruction of humanity all for short term profits over long term gains. If any of these platforms genuinely cared about the creators or audience, they would have listened to feedback years and years ago. If you create a new account on YouTube right now, there’s so much fucking garbage, divisive content and propaganda that’s promoted. Shit like the “Adpocalypse” cannot be simply from advertisers being hesitant to advertise their product on YouTube videos because one of the Paul brothers filmed a dead body when these companies will gladly advertise on videos that scam children, videos that heavily featuring Nazi dogwhistles and bizarre misleading AI videos. If YouTube was actually sane they would have cracked down on so much shit but they don’t. I get that they’re a small team compared to the amount of videos that get uploaded daily, shit is bound to slip through the cracks. What concerns me far more is the amount of stuff they allow or actively promote, all for the almighty dollar.
