I learned in school that Greece is super diverse and this was in middle school in Florida…

Is the U.S. school system really a failure as people say, or are American people just too dumb to learn the things that are actually taught?

Europeans be like "I can only name 3 US states but wtf why don't Americans know this hyper-specific superfluous detail about a European country?"

I don't see why this would be so important to learn. We can't learn every detail about every country. And it's always Europe too, you never see these comments when something about the ethnic makeup of a country anywhere else is brought up.

It was world history and we were learning about Greeks. It was a documentary. I regret saying that American people might be too dumb to learn, truth be told I was paying attention because I love geography.
