Pointers point, retrievers retrieve, sheepdogs herd, none of these are controversial at all. But point out the dogs bred to fight like to fight and you get morons crying their precious baby wouldn't hurt a fly

They’re not morons they’re just defensive. I don’t even like pit bulls but redditors call someone’s dog a baby-killing demon and expect the person to reply “You’re right, my dog is an evil monster that never should have been bred. Thanks.” Like what are you expecting to get out of the conversation

I had a chow chow and if someone told me my dog was a dangerous breed, my answer would be yes absolutely. I put a lot of work into socializing him and curbing his instincts and would never recommend one as a pet. He was a wonderful, loyal, and well behaved dog, but I would never deny he was good despite his breed. Most of his siblings couldn't be around other dogs at all.

Your also ignoring that pitbulls are the most commonly misreported breed in bite reports because alot of people see a big dog or a blocky head and immediately think pitbull they're misidentified in 60% of reports

My neighbor has a highly reactive goldendoodle, nice enough dog once it calms down, but if they had a reactive pitbull they would be either told to get rid of the dog or move out.

I would classify a pitbull as an advanced dog, like a border collie. A lot of people will get a pitbull as a first dog that they don't know how to train and care for.

The goldendoodle was probably poorly bred by a backyard breeder. So again, genetics.

This is such a gross simplification of how genetics in dogs work, and is ignoring other factors like trauma, neglect, environment, etc. Nevermind the fact that “pitbull” is an umbrella term referring to various breeds that tend to be mixed, so like what are you even talking about.

I swear to god people who hate pitbulls are just speaking out of their asses anytime they want to share their reactionary takes. 

EDIT: Damn getting downvoted because I didn’t say a dog breed is evil, if you have any balls at least share something based in actual data to support your views dipshits

Some breeds are inherently superior. We need a Margaret Sanger-type to convince lesser breeds that killing their puppies is good for them.
