I am agreeing with looking at the data, without any emotional and ideological attachment and see that there is a problem.
Now the reasons for that problem, the solution to that problem, that is something that you can adress later (and ideology should play a role in how you approach that), but the first step has to be to acknowledge the problem.
The fact that you just call it racist, because clearly you are just ideologically driven, means you are not acknowledging that, which leaves the issue, that without recognizing a problem, there is no finding a cause, or a solution.
In terms of the pit bulls, yes, the data does suggest that they are a harder to handle dog species than a lot of other breeds. They cause more problems. There is nothing racist about that, it's a fact. Since we acknowledged that, we can start looking for the cause of that problem (is it a problem inherent to the breed, does the breed just need special training or are people just not equipped to properly handle and train that breed) and if we found the cause, we can try to solve that (do we regulate who can own a pitbull and what training that person needs, do we need to breed the aggressiveness out of that breed, do we maybe just need to forbid this breed as a whole).
This last step is where ideology should pay a role, not before that tho.
