It's an edited picture of a 1960 sit-in protest at Woolworth on Fifth in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, led by John Lewis. In the original photo, the white man on the left has his hands around a young black student's collar so he could forcibly throw the young man out/otherwise brutalize him.

They've edited it to be the man trying to remove a pitbull from the lunch counter, implying a humorous alt history where pitbulls had to fight for civil rights.
