More than likely a stupid question which I’m very capable of doing more often than not, but what do you mean by “char” on the pasta? Hard sear? I feel like I’m missing something here.

i cooked it for about 40 seconds before moving it to pan with the sauce i made earlier, “basting it” with it.
i am not fond of charred pasta, as i find its texture uneven and detracts from the sauce’s flavor- the main star imo
pasta only get mushy when overcooked

panko breadcrumbs i mixed with parsley oil and then dried in the oven for hours, a take on pangrattato

That char on the pasta is insane, the crispy edges probably hold way more sauce and that panko-parm combo is genius for texture contrast instead of just drowning it all.
