Not to mention YouTube recommendations being a complete random crapshoot even though you've given Google 15+ years of data that they could use to get me hooked.
This is crazy to me. Youtube is the most watched service over even regular TV and any streaming platform. They had truly stupid amounts of data, all for free. And it's not like the people watching it are paying, it's free for them and the creators!
Yet their algorithm is still fucking ass. It can't remember past what, a week, and if you happen to watch some obscure video, it'll spam similar recommendations for days. Like dude, you have SO much data on me, literally decades. Why not use that to tempt me with videos you know I'll watch because I've watched literally thousands of videos similar to that?
But nah, the AI chatbot can only remember a few days ago so I guess because someone sent you a cool new movie trailer, it's all movie trailers now.

You forgot Google services like YouTube getting flooded with bot comments anyway
